Time to drop Bryson or Hendrick

We need Hughes further forward and someone else in the holding role. Estate did great for 3/4 of last season.

3 games in and the doom merchants are out Ffs we never start well and until last night hadn't done that badly we weren't going to win every game. (some people think we will )

Central defence is much more of a worry too me at the moment. Hughes isn't a holding midfielder but I personally think Bryson and Hendrick are better players and bring more to the team.

We are currently 2 places lower with the same points than this time last season so don't panic and I trust Mac and team to get it right.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of prem loans again once the squads are announced.

Tactics and formation seem the same as last season, its selection that might be questioned but that the problem is caused by injury is an explanation. The key thing is whether management can respond if problems continue. We have only lost one match.

Surprised you miss the chance to point out how useless Hughes is.

Drop Bryson and put Hughes up. Bryson & Hendrick are too similar, and of the 2 Hendrick is in better form.

Eustace & Mascerall can cover DM.

Too early to sharpen the knives yet though, Mac has a long season ahead and needs to think long term - ie aclimatise Macserall into English football, Eustace can't play every game, keep Hendrick Brys & Hughes match sharp etc. I trust him to get it right

I agree, Hughes needs to play further forward. Funny, if Thorne had been fit, he would have had to drop one of the current 3 first choice midfielders. Clough tried playing the current 3 at the start of last season and eventually realised that defensive midfield is a specialist position and started playing Eustace.

Spot on. If Thorne was fit he would be playing. Therefore, if we've brought in a replacement for Thorne (and he's not done too much wrong so far) why not play him rather than trying to "force" it to work with Hughes playing that role.
