Always been Vauxhall as far as I can remember. Stocked American cars (chevrolet?)with great big fins at one stage in the 50/60s.
Big Rootes dealer in Pompey was EMA in Southsea, off Elm Grove towards Palmerston Road I think, Grove Road was it?
Remember drooling over a black Sunbeam Tiger in there.

Course it was EMA's, infamous for using the vacuum pipe money delivery system, you paid for your parts & they put it in a cylinder & whoosh off it went & you had a ten minute wait for any change.

My first car was a 1961 or 1962 Ford Classic. It was called Cuddles after its number plate CDL a good old Island number plate. Next car was Sophocles... a Fiat 127 number plate SFK , just had to scrap Kusie Eyes (KU51EYS) and we have acquired Elsie... LC etc.
    All a bit sad really

    You lot.

It's girly to give a car a. Especially these rusting deathtraps that struggle to get you from A to B we've all been describing.

    Now a boat/ship that's a different thing.

Skulls, would you rather wait in a shop behind five customers who had their weekly shopping items individually cut, weighed and wrapped - all the time chewing the fat - than shop at Aldis today?
