Surely we give Roos a go first? From all reports he's been pushing Grant for a while. If he got injured THEN we get a loan in

In fairness Roos hasn't had long to adapt and he will get another chance in the cup game no doubt - It would be a lot of pressure on his shoulders to step up as we are pushing for promotion. Imagine he has a couple of shockers - that can wreck a career at a club.

As it is Butland coming in shows the level of ambition we have at the moment, and who knows if we are ultimately successful this season then the fact we borrowed the future England goalie might just swing it for Derby! That would be pretty impressive scouting

Great loan signing and the right decision I rate Roos but think hes one for the future. To be able to sign this lad who left Birmimgham for £4 million is another absolute masterstroke by SM and the team.

Roos is good as backup but was signed for the development squad so lets let him develop

cant believe some people are questioning SM signings. Really

Just as people have said, Roos is a developmental player. Questioning Mac's signings? There's no guarantee he was brought in to go straight in to the squad should there be an injury, but a player who will improve and become a very good goalkeeper while being trained by a fantastic goalkeeping coach, playing the odd game and working with a good bunch of players.

Based on Wikipedia stats alone (figures of club appearances based on league games only)

Kelle Roos - 22 years old
    9 appearances for Nuneaton Town
0 appearances for Derby (obviously has played in the cup)
    5 appearances for Netherlands U15s

Jack Butland - 21 years old
    46 appearances for Birmingham
    24 appearances for Cheltenham
    13 appearances for Barnsley
    16 appearances for Leeds
    3 appearances for Stoke
21 appearances for England (U16-U20 level)
    26 appearances for England U21s
5 appearances for Great Britain in London 2012
    1 appearance for England

That gives Butland a total of 24 games in lower tier footbal

Just read on Stoke Sentinel where Jack Butland says he is excited to be joining Derby. Do all players joining teams on loan have the same script writer?

    What a thick post !

    Any team selections made yet?

Who signed Deeney and what happened?

All because you must cfriticise the current management

I think I'm happy to leave this to the judgement of one of the finest goalkeeping coaches in the country.
