re: Just to prove that it's not about results

    hi and good morning Aucks
your question about no defenders on bench -- i think we didnt have anyone to put there ?
hanley, spurr and lowe all injured, killy suspended.
so down to the bare bones really.
just as well we have a big squad, something else people have moaned about
i wonder if rudy could do a chris sutton and play back there if needed ??

It interesting that some comments are being discussed as 'negative' or 'moaning.'

As I said, it was actually quite entertaining last night, maybe not for the right reasons. But when a large section of the crowd had taken to laughing at their own team, there may be cause for concern. It beats the hell out of moaning and getting on the players backs though.

[quote="blueandwhiteheart"]It is interesting to note that of the commenters here (as I have muted before) the ones that are 'negative' are the ones actually attending (this time on a cold, damp gusty night ). In comparison, the ones holding the view that its; early days, we are not so badly placed, I think we are not as bad as people are making out, GB is making slow but steady progress etc. are by and large viewing it from a distance, taking from 'reports' / statistics.

    thats naughty Despair
i go to every home match and im not in your "negative" section.
i see a lot of things i dont like, but i cant or dont constantly moan about it.
last night was totally dis-jointed.the only good thing was Marshall- who was unbelievable.
i was a bit shocked to see both forwards taken off - especially with Dunn as one replacement !!!!
we could / should have sent them home with a real battering, but we didnt, so il take the 3 points thank you, and go on to the next game

    hi despair
im not having a go at you mate -- and we are all entitled to our opinions, whether we go or not really.
i was disappointed last night, we had a good chance of grabbing the headlines last night, and quite frankly BLEW IT !!!!!
But a win is a win is a win so they say.
i do believe we will get better, i HOPE we will get better i should say.
i was thinking about last season when we went on that unbeaten run --- we were playing catch up really, so not playing under any real pressure so to say, but as soon as we could get into the play off spots we blew it, draws with weds and yeovil i think ?
so maybe fans expectations get to this team ? . the whole ground was flat most of last night and the team need to do something to get the fans going.
ben marshall did that on his own last night, the lad was shattered at the end, but the other players i feel really let him down, they
seemed like they wanted to watch rather than help him.
like i say - i hope we improve, i think we can, but

    just 1 other thing
i dont have any desires on seeing rovers back in "the promised land"
i prefer watching the championship, at least we win a few.
for me we can do what our neighbours are doing, go up , and come straight back down -- and take the money .

We are indeed only three points away from the play-off positions, and only seven points from the top spot! I understand that we are playing poorly (see GB's comments on the first-half performance), but that MUST be true of a lot of other clubs too. If anything, we could be ALREADY in a play-off position, because - on balance - refereeing decisions have certainly not gone our way, and there was also JR's missed penalty.
However, some of the comments here suggest we have very few good players, so I assume the argument is that we must, instead, have had a lot of GOOD luck.
It is pointless to compare THIS team with some of our PL line-ups. The comparisons have to be with the other teams in the division - most of which drew today.
I do accept that performances have declined from the s
