The next month will be very interesting and I am sure we will have some interesting results along the way. I am really looking forward to it.

Over the last three seasons we have held our own against the big guns, beating Chelsea Liverpool and Man City and drawing at home with United amongst others all with a weaker squad than the current one. This current squad has a better mentality, and the manager has a better plan B than the previous one. I agree with the points above, the pressure will be on City, United and Arsenal to beat US in my opinion and that should suit our players nicely. I disregard Chelsea as they [!]373;ill probably run away with it...but you never know. Either way I am enjoying the season, and finishing 8th again would not be a bad thing after the summer we had.

I don't give a shiny ****e what the 'experts' think. Like Kernow says we are little Southampton as far as most of them are concerned so that is 'situation normal'in the 40+ years that I have been going to Saints games. They can make whatever they want of December but if we finish better than 8th then they can all do one imo since just about all of them went though their usual thought process and wrote us off .
All I hope is we get a 38K stadium soon to match the growth we have in just about every other area of our magnificent club.![]()
Here's what Lawro thinks:
This is a big game for both sides and I am really looking forward to it.
It makes so much difference to the atmosphere for players to be playing in a night match under floodlights and it is more exciting for fans compared to a Saturday lunchtime kick-off.
The thing about Southampton's great start to the season is that it means they are now a scalp, which brings a different kind of pressure.
Villa ended a run of six defeats with a draw against West Ham but, even with Christian Benteke suspended, I think they might surprise a few people here.
I am not taking anything away from Saints, who have been excellent in pretty much every way on the pitch this season and, off it, are a great example of how to run a football club.
It is just that I think Villa might mug them on Monday.
Lawro's prediction: 1-0
C*nt
Don't know how he's got away with it all these years.
BBC I spose, it's not what you know or who you know but who you hang out of that matters.
He's been waiting for us to get mugged all season, this great run is bound to come to an end soon, today at West Ham, or is it Swansea, perhaps Hull, definitely Villa. Just hope he carries on backing us to fail.
As you say PFR, cnut.
Lawro is a knob, he is bitter an twisted because he wasted his playing career with the bin dippers when he could of been playing for a big club like Saints, anyway roll on Monday night and Villa, the funny thing is even though we will be watching the game live that Ozsaint will know the result before us as Australia is 12 hours in front, just hope he does not spoil it for the rest of us by coming on here an letting us know the final result until the game is over over here !
Should be an interesting game as Villa seem to play on the counter even at home. Strong defensive unit though currently a few injuries for them to worry about.
I can see a very close game that could be a goalless draw or a one nil, hopefully we can get it.
A win for us will put more pressure on City next Sunday.
Next three games will be the teller, playing 3rd/4th and 7th. in eight days. Ticket for Burnley sorted and 9 points from 5 games will be a good return. COYS
Can't argue with that. He is typical of the dinosaurs that still base all their views on the status of clubs in the 1970's and beforeOriginally Posted by Bob_Lazar

But Lawro is a knob and will be for at least 20 years.![]()
I had Talksport on yesterday late morning and they were talking about title contenders and who'll finish in the top four. We weren't mentioned once![]()
Chelsea and City will be in the top four, joined most likely by Arsenal. Jism assures us Liverpool are guaranteed to finish above us so it could still be them. Anyone but Spurs for me.
We could be 12 points from safety tonight![]()
