the point is, if we don`t go up we`ll HAVE TO sell our best playing assets, simple as that. that being the case, if we don`t go up this season, it`ll take a miracle for us to do so in the forseeable future. in fact it`s more likely we`ll end up with such a poor squad that we`ll tumble downwards instead.

the pair of you are talking like we can build the squad up slowly, when financial facts rule that out.

end of the day, we fail this season and we may never see rovers as a top flight club again. our predicament is that serious. that is pressure for bowyer and the players, but it`s a pressure they simply have to deal with..

I dont believe anyone has raised this issue. As generally fans look fans look to tommorow and no further. We may get into the play offs. We may even sneak in the top 2. There is no stand out team in the division. Unfortunately, if we went up, I dont think could compete. We'd have to spend alot. I dont see that happening. I see a similar season to the one the 3 promoted sides are currently enduring. Its great to see us have a good season this year. But next one will be hard. As in Bowyer. We have lost 2 footbal matches since the middle of last season. If its not broke dont fix it. This isnt even a talking point, barring a a complete disasterous run from now onwards. Which imo, wont happpen.

The finish last season was progress on our piss poor finish the season before.
If your team does better each season you cannot ask anything more than that.

From what I've seen this year we're not any better than a playoff club. I don't believe we have the players to get us into the top 2. If we make it into the playoffs I think he should stay. If we miss out I think it's time to let him go.

I'm totally ignoring the financial aspect and just answering the question as it was asked.

how can 2 clubs, only 3 points ahead of us, be considered to have so much better a chance of the automatic spots than we have..? that just don`t make any sense to me..

We don't have a midfield that can control a game and our back 4 are crap. We got a little better with Duffy but we got real lucky last game. Not good enough for top 2

what we`ve got though, is goals in us, even when the opposition has more control of the game..

it`s a big advantage we have over others at the top imo.

JR - you're picking us up on things we haven't said. We are talking about the REALITY of the situation. That is, the fact that there are lots of teams of roughly equal ability. Our desperate need for promotion doesn't make it any more likely that we will be the ones to go up. Are you suggesting there are S
