As SD points out, football is fickle.

He could be back here one day...

I'll agree with Papa booing is counterproductive, every time we do it to that monumental cu[color=black]nt Nugent, he bloody scores against us although I believe he thrives on the hate. (Seeing that he is generally loathed by opposition fans)

Cheer the team and personally I'd give a warm applause for Lambert as I really rated him not only as a player but as a person.

Personally i cant take anything he says as genuine, lets not forget how he said he wished he was playing for Victimpool last season when they beat us, a couple of weeks later after scoring against Newcastle he ran towards the Chapel end kissing the badge.
Yes he did very well for us and was a key part of the team that took us from league one to a top ten finish in the prem, but the way he behaved last summer leaves a very sour taste for me.
**** him, the only cheer he'd get from me would be when Vic irons him out, but i wouldn't mind betting he picks up a slight strain over the weekend and doesn't play

On another forum, someone suggested the crowd turning it's collective back on the pitch, when his is announced at the start, or when he comes on or goes off via substitution.

Would make a point, without the vocal "support" dwelling for too long on him or Lovren.

I'm sad it's come to this and for once kind of glad I couldn't get a ticket. I wouldn't be booing or turning my back. To me his signing another contract when were in L1, and the media picking which Prem club he would move to, was one of our major points that helped turn us around. It sent a signal to many players already here and in attracting others to come here.

I wish he had left on better terms and I'm against players holding guns to clubs heads or going on 'strike' but I blame a weak PFA and the lack of backbone to stand up to those who do this just as much.

This is a classic example of someone trying to soften the impact of his return. Well f**k him, I was always a big critic of him anyway, he's a tippy tappy 70 minute flash in the pan who can't shoot for sh1t.

    Adam who?

Having just read the article again Adams self importance is quite something.
According to him some people may boo him because we miss him, no Adam it's because you behaved like a ****.

I wonder if he'll visit one of the Favelas in Thornhill to change some more peoples lives?

I hope he gets the same amount of stick as any other opposition player and that his so-called regrets are compounded by a resounding defeat for his team.

    COYS.
Totally agree Kernow. Lallana was very good for us over a number of seasons so there is no point in now being hypercritical about it. But the manner in which he left the club leaves a sour taste. Exactly the opposite applies to Rickie Lambert who appeared to handle his departure with a bit of respect and consideration for the club and supporters.
If Lallana makes an appearance on Sunday no doubt some will give him some stick, I prefer to save my emotion for supporting Saints and merely treat him as any other opposition player.

Never heard of Lordshill, Aldermoor or Weston?
