re: Rush comes out of hibernation!!!

If he's so good at it and his job then why not sit in front and answer questions from the media directly. Why hide behind practiced and scripted interviews to questions put to you by your own paid stooge?

I think some of us are aware where these tactics have been used before in the world!

I haven't compared Glick and Rush but IMO There is no comparison on either level. The job Glick had to do was infinitely harder in stripping back to the barebones and rebuilding. Rush just has to put the garnish on top of an almost finished product ... Or was!

Glick said it straight and wasn't spin. He could stand in front of the open media and conduct himself not frightened of what they might ask. It was actually amusing how he said something straight and many got themselves confused by trying to read things into what was said then claiming it had been when it hadn't which was proved.

Rush to me is a poor public speaker and this constant hiding just shows that. Remember how Gibson used to tear

Name me a chairman in football that is intervied Jeremy Paxman style.

Glick was great at interviewing, didn't call him Slick for nothing but his cotent lacked credibility as the reality didn't actually match his hot wind. Again perception and opinion...I recall Glick saying we would be competing and bringing players if a calibre that would enable that... I recall being underwhelmed. A spins doctor...no different to any other chairman.

Possibly because they ended up sacking Mac rather than him leaving 'by mutual consent'? - fair chance that there are legal matters still to be addressed, so a scripted interview is far safer from a legal perspective...

The fact that you value slick PR over someone who has by any measure moved the club forward over the past two years says it all really.

Rush has made public statements and atteneded public meetings recently, so presumably your "radar" hasn't picked these up?

Your getting a wee bit paranoid talking about other opinions being repressed! I see no sign of it on this baord, plenty of healthy debate from posters with very different views, perhaps its the flogging of a dead horse that gets on peoples tits??

"Glick had a harder job did he? You mean all that money he spent when we were in the Premier League and the following summer?"

Think that comment is both inaccurate and unfair GSE took over in Jan 2008 halfway through that awful PL season and the major money was spent in the previous summer with Earnshaw Miller Davis etc and in the summer of 2008 Glick balanced the books a little on selling Earnshaw Miller Jones and Fagan. Not saying the signings were any good but money wise not to blame that was the local ownership and Billy Davies that spent on the likes of those above.

    Will a footballer do?

Reading around the boards look like there are quite a few echo my thoughts. Very similar concerns about the staged interviews and on poster states that they think he's sitting in a child's chair or straining on a stool.

As for the public forums I've covered that by saying sitting in front of the untrained public. However if anyone can let me know when the next ones are I will go if I'm about and maybe ask him a few more cutting questions! - [url=http://youtu.be/aA0Qd_dMHuc]v

Weren't some of those under Adam Pearson? The man who said the higher the wages the higher the success rate. Success rate in what ... Bankruptcy!

Some could have been deemed a success. Paul green for example on a free and refused to give him an inflated contract. Connolly we got for nothing and got rid of for nothing didn't we? He was a rebuilding player as we had no money could we have got any better? He's a great example of quite how hard a job Clough in particular had.

You've inadvertently proved the argument of how harder job Glick and Clough had and how much easier Rush and Mcclaren have had ... And currently messing it up!
