    You don't hear it mentioned very often, but I really like the fact that he started out as a PE teacher. Based on working in a school you can deduce that he should have what it takes to command respect and communicate very effectively.

    Based on this I can't see players doing a Tyrone and climbing out of toilet windows hopefully.

    It's also a very welcome bonus that he can speak Spanish and French. Definitely an invaluable asset in the modern game.

    Coming from Real he shouldn't be in the least bit phased by working with Derby's squad and having just lost his job for not winning the Champion's League, the last thing he's going to be alien to is the pressure of expectation. Which he will undoubtedly have here. First impressions suggest that despite his success he seems well grounded, quite Nigelesque actually in how modest he comes across. Not a bad thing.
