Interesting one, when he came to Derby he was definitely one **** up away from never working again. At Newcastle he is in a much more assured position, even if it goes wrong sympathy will be with him that it is an unmanageable position and memories will go back to his time with Derby as assurance that he still has it.

For me, I think the story is told - he is a good coach, with a definite ability to hone and focus a good team to make them better. However, he has two major flaws - he doesn't seem able to turn around a sinking, or listing, ship (Forest, us, Wolfsburg being examples) and doesn't have the ability to change the momentum a side has. Secondly, he shouldn't be let loose with a cheque book. Even Boro fans say that he was good while the going was good, but once it started going the other way he just didn't know how to change it.

So, back to the exam question, I expect him to endure a pretty torrid time at Newcastle with them finishing next season two or three places either wa
