The Club can't hide the fee that they actually paid any better than officially making it an undisclosed fee!

Such utter nonsence, you are actually confirming what I was told, and I have since checked to be right.

Burnley will receive £2.5m up front, plus £0.25m Skybet, plus the tax to be paid on £2.75m makes it an over £3m deal.

Burnley are due to receive a relatively small further payment from us in January 2016, to stagger the payments.

Other payments will also be due in June 2016 subject to Derby getting promotion and JS making a certain level of appearances over the season.

Seems like someone was willing to pay what ever it took to get JS back playing for us.

But it just seems like utter madness to me!

    ![/quote]

And just how did you do that? Google it? Text Sam Rush? Look at the paperwork lodged with the FA?

What a load of utter shoe repairers!

Given the veracity of SDSR's contributions on here, I have no reservations at all in acceptingcwhat he says.

Taking into account the dubious elements of what you claim majes me even more certain.

A fee is a fee, the source of the finance is irrelevant. The fact that £250k seems to the Skybet windfall would not be ring fenced as a separate part of the agreed fee.

Nothing short of laughable. Your source has you for a mug.

LankyClaret What an utter mug you are.Its only 10 days since you were saying that Shackel is better than the centre halves at Leicester West Brom Aston Villa etc and that no Prem striker had given him the runaround I actually know the fee and the terms of his contract The fee is know where near £3 million What he will be telling his Grandkids is that he played in the Premiership for one season with a team called Burnley who though making nearly £100 million out of their one season they trated him diabolically so he moved to a much bigger and better club called Derby

Only time will tell whether we paid over the odds, remember we paid something similar for Clod Davis.
If we go up and Shacks has a great season then he will be a bargain. (and vice versa)

Over £3 mill + add ons is probably around the correct figure whether that is over the odds only time will tell .
Mr Dyche no doubt would have preferred to keep Shack but after being offered vastly improved terms by Derby it was inevitable he would leave Turf Moor .
At his best he is a very good reliable centre back but not irreplaceable especially at his age .We Clarets look forward to taking our usual 6 points off you this coming season.

Kodak Only one person to blame for the sale that's Dyche Hes been saying all along he will have the final say on who stays and who goes Why did your club do what other clubs do just say Hes not for sale(easy ) But know they let it be known if you pay enough hes for sale But I can assure you the fee is nowhere near £3 million that's just Burnley spin to try and appease the fans

Maybe it is Derby spin to appease your fans and try and make you believe that the finances at Derby are finally under control the fee was £3 mill minimum .
Mr Dyche is a very astute man always attempts to do the best for the club we can argue about the fee for ever but I can assure you if it did not suite the club it would not have gone through .
Shackell at 32 years of age may have 1 more season in him maybe not a younger replacement may suit Burnley's plans .
At the end of the day 2.5 or 3 mill who cares we have the 60 mill from the Prem plus a few years of the parachute payments .
