    re: Gone By Christmas

Spot on. Signs are not good. We look better defensively but midfield looks uncertain and attack is poor. Reverse of last season. But if we canbuild from the back then there's hope. Probs not this season though. I suspect Clement, Weimann and Bent were bad choices.

I think this passion on the touchline thing is *********.

I’d rather see the boss on the touchline calm and analytical.

Last season you knew things had gone tits up when you saw McClaren on the touchline waving his *********ing arms about.

If you think gesturing and jumping up and down in the technical area makes one iowta of difference I’m afraid you know very little about football.

Making a decision on Weimann and Clement so early is very harsh.

Typical thick reactionary footy fans. Nothing new I suppose.

I might've gone over the top with the word thick, but it winds me up when fans talk about "passion" from the manager.

We're entering some kind of strange parallel football universe.

I think it is actually a phenomenon that is playing out all over the country.

It's a football fans comedown after the hype and expectation over the pre-season.

Football is a fantastic game in pre-season, signing players, working out potential teams. It seems you've scribbled down an undefeatable team on your work notepad, champions by xmas, etc., but then they bring the *********ing ball out and it all goes pear shaped.

We'll all be on a psycho-analysts couch quite soon.

Gone by Christmas. I've had to re-read the title. FFS. Jesus Christ etc. etc. etc.
