    Gone By Christmas

OK so only two games into Paul Clements reign but unless he improves in the next two games the crowd will turn on him. Look at the first two games two shots on goal. No game plan. No passion. A weeks a long time in management but not looking good for him.

Ramspride, in the last few months of Steve MacClarens time you were making similar posts about the manager.

Do you want us to become like Forest and keep changing the manager? Clement has to be given a chance and this may mean mistakes are made . Have you fallen for the hype that we have good players and thus are bound to succeed?

Slow Pace, long ball, negative tactics., getting done by a league 2 side out wide, ..he needs to change it quickly...only the last 10 minutes showed anything at all,did we have a shot on target other than the headed goal.?

No black and white I don't want to swapping manager left right and centre but I am worried about our choice of managers. Out of the last 3 two have had no previous managerial experience in the league and Clements has no experience of even playing in the league. As I'm getting on I don't want to wait while they get their experience in the hope that they will be successful. I do really hope I am proved wrong but in the near future.

His nous, his narrow minded approach to tactics and his lack of passion on the touchline does seem a bit worrying but I am prepared to give him a few more games before I make any firm judgement on his ability to do an effective job for us.

It is still very early days. Come on Paul, pull it together lad!

Just been outside watching the meteor shower. Damn site more exciting than watching the other show on Sky tonight. It seemed to have more purpose too.

I cannot even see meteors shooting either

I don't know about shooting stars, we haven't got any at the moment , but maybe we have a few stars that need shooting after tonight.

I've seen the game and looked at the sky and seen nothing of interest in either!

I'm with Rattea on this one - traditionally Derby do badly in the league cup. When we went to Wembley two seasons ago it was no different but that turned out ok.

The defence looks tighter, ignoring Grant's calamity, and Forsyth looked solid on the left. Shackell will be proved to be worth the money spent to bring him back.

Further forward Johnny Russell is starting to show what he produced in Scotland (hopefully now with consistency and no injury problems) and George Thorne is clearly the best defensive midfielder at the club and one of the best in the division.

As for tonight Grant's *********-up was a key turning point from what I could see watching Sky's abject coverage.
The play was slow and laboured but there are big changes to contend with regarding personnel and tactics - it will take time to integrate these things, it even did for Jim Smith in the promotion season!
Tom Ince needs a system to accommodate his style of play and, although I'm not a believer in fitting a
