Agree with Angry and Rhino really, so put me in the curmudgeonly corner if you want. I too go to watch the game, support my team but I don't want some ********* in front of me blocking my view with a big flag any more than I want that little git with the drum assaulting my auditory senses by battering it right behind me.

So I am, as has been suggested, Victor Meldrew on this one and I can't help feeling they could do something more useful and community minded with £ 4 grand. If the football needs to be dressed up like a birthday party then its pretty poor do. Next youll be wanting cheerleaders, tumblers and acrobats, a "rip up your mortgage" lucky seat number and Paul Clement sticking his head in a lion's mouth.

Blame it on a generation thing, I dont know? I dont really want cloth caps and rattles either - maybe I just want the good old 1970's violence and the *********ing where you stood that I grew up on!!

I suppose Fan Cam will be back this year.. Ohhh good.

We could all dress up as Shaun the Sheep... Oh wait we already have a prune doing that in the south stand.. Home and away, black face and all... SORT YOURSELF OUT !! You're a grown man.

I might wear my full kit tomorrow.

Do you think we beat Brighton because of the atmosphere? Or do you believe we beat Brighton so convincingly that the
atmosphere was then generated from the performance?

Do you believe good performances = good atmosphere, or do you believe atmospheres = good performances?

The flags are not allowed to be waved in open play, so what's the problem? There's 300 of them in a stand of 4,000. Surely anything that can get the atmosphere going is better than sat on your *********? Come on, Victor, you've got another 20 years of sitting on your ********* whilst getting up every now and again to go to a garden centre for some rhododendrons.

I'll answer my own questions. Mel Morris said he sniffed the fear in the Brighton Directors right before kick off, and they admitted afterwards that they saw the South Stand, heard the noise and thought they were going to lose. Which they did. The only game we made an effort to bring scarves, balloons and flags and it culminated in a big win. Co-inci
