He did play well and great to see him get a hat trick but Fielding was awful. His height is against him. A taller goalie would probably have saved at least two of the goals. When we signed him he was supposedly a future England keeper. Still regardless well done Tom.

The bloke who text radio Derby after the game to say he wondered if Bent was on the field wa obviously just a ball watcher. Bent was brilliant at pulling defenders out of position giving others more space.

Maybe away from home I'd stick with 4-3-3, so the midfield is deeper. At home, 4-2-3-1.
Glad we've cleared that up. Thought it was one of your little 'jokes' again RBF, but now you've 'slept on it'...well I bet Bent's relieved. ;-)

Is one not allowed to change their mind?

And 'I bet Bent's relieved', of course he doesn't care what I think. He probably doesn't care what you think either, despite your acres of wisdom. But after all this is a football forum, for the exact purpose of discussing football with other people that don't know anything about football. So daft

Ince had a good game and that was great to see.. But let's not get carried away...
My guess is he will always be a bit hit and miss. The curse of players like him, love hate thing...

The biggest thing for me on the night was that Clement showed he won't shy away from big decisions... He took a massive risk and it came off for him.. Lucky generals and all that.

"He took a massive risk and it came off for him."

Not sure that this is true. It came off in the end with scoring 4 goals , but for the first 60% of the game we weren't that good and the opposition were poor, only showing at the start of the second half. What would Saturday's team have done against Bristol? We'll never know - its not like we didn't create chances against Brighton , a much superior team to Bristol.
The main thing from Tuesday is seeing Ince play better when played more centrally.
Apart from that how much of the team changes was simply Clement resting players and giving other players a chance?
We will know when we see the team selection for Saturday.

I think it was a mix of giving players a rest and Clement experimenting. But it's true, City were poor. Think Fielding should have definitely done better with Ince's second and third.

You contradict yourself there.. ''Not sure that this is true. It came off for him in the end''. That was exactly my point. He took a massive risk but got 3pts. I have said before that the performance was not great.
Nobody saw that team selection coming

Lol, good response. Think you've got too much on with Swale at the moment. I'm not going to add further to your problems...Happy Christmas RBF, just be careful it doesn't all end in tears. ;-)
