[quote="ramspride"]When I stared going in 1955 it was 9 old pence in the boys enclosure, 3d for a programe and a couple of pence to leave your bike in one of the alleyways between houses in Shaftsbuy Cresent. I used to love the smell of liniment coming off the players but didn't love the smell from Leys foundry. I used to go to watch the reserves so that I could see the half time scores next to the letters on the platform in the corner of the pop side. As the chargehand was also a Rams supporter he used to let me off. You could talk to people around you before the match and at half time as they used to play records over the PA not blast you out with the row as now. But the great thing was the Ba

That was a good forward line wasn't it Slimy? Let's not forget Angus Morrison too, a good old fashioned forward. I used to go to Derby Dogs with Angus every week. He liked his greyhounds.

Seriously Slimy...BBG or iPro, 1940's, 2015 or somewhere in between? Which ground and which era, sentiment of the early/mid seventies apart, did you prefer?

My favourite ground was the BBG and my favourite era was late 60s through to late 70s. I did enjoy going in the early 60s but that was because it was a bit more relaxed with no expectations because we were crap then lol

The BBG for sure. It was an old & tired structure, but it had character, not just concrete & steel. Also you didn't have to go half way to Nottingham to get to the ground.

Is there any way we could instigate an argument between RBF and Swale on this thread too and thus destroy the point of this one too? At least I only have a go at TMDS one thread at a time....
