    Still like him though
what he lacks in some departments he makes up for in effort
the simple things he does well
yes the Boro goal he should be dissapointed with but in the whole a good freebie signing.

Yeah I'm a fan of akpan too from what I've seen of him. He's not immune from a *******ing for that though. It'll do him good.

    re: Compromise.

All players are not immune from a good *******ing.

Akpan does a decent job for us. People need to realise the role he plays. Its upto the other players around him to create something after Akpan has done his job of winning and then playing the simple ball.

Again its going to take time to get this side playing in a different way to what they are used to. Keep picking the points up,stay up and lets see what summer brings.

    re: Compromise.

I think far too much focus and emphasis upon HIM, in isolation.
The argument seems to have been : but when we lose him we lose 20+ goals, which would be true if his 'shirt' was left unoccupied. But, as we all know thats not the case, as a n other wears it. Not only that but given relative salary etc. Opens the door to a number of 'additionals'.
This is the basis as the 'team' being stronger overall.
Hopefully for me upon my next attendance I can enjoy a far more expansive and interesting game (win , draw, or even lose).
