    2-2.
Hanson for Thorne, Camara for Russell, Blackman for Martin.
Feels like it but you never know.
Show some commitment. Earn your 'kin lavish lifestyles for once.
Those ridiculous, stupid little yappy type things and ones that attack children and other well behaved dogs...I'd have the inconsiderate owners of all anti-social dogs put into Room 101... put down even if we lose tomorrow.

4-4-2? I wish, I can see us scraping a win, but 2-1 with us hanging on at the end.

That gets the award for the most bizarre analogy......unless of course that is individual experience.

That's the sort of cringe worthy post I would put up.

Sheffield seems to think you have to be young to have a problem with todays team.
Well I have followed the Rams since 1967 and had season tickets for most of the years apart from early 80's.
I've seen the highs and the lows. Met my future wife at the Man U game in '68 (that a high or a low?).
So I feel very qualified to comment.
I want to be entertained like in the BC era
I want to be inspired by the teams commitment energy and skill
I want to be enthused by the style of play and have ongoing hope of promotion.
Gradually over the last few years that has ebbed away.
Overcoached teams with rigid styles that ban individual flair. Individuals that run into "their" zone and stop if the ball is eslewhere. Terrible body language. I never saw Todd or McFarland or Lee drop their heads.
And every year it is false promotion hope that drainns away in the spring.
Finally you realise that you just dont care anymore, too much money and too many hours wasted that will never come back.

I kind of feel that Derby's success in the 70s has contributed to Clement's downfall. Fans now expect every manager that comes in to play like we did in the Clough days when it's not necessarily the way to go in modern football. Clement tried to implement a style of play at Derby and it was met by frustration because it's not forward, forward, forward. Football changes, the attitudes of fans unfortunately are a lot more stubborn.

In fact, it's controversial, but I have my doubts whether Clough would succeed in modern football.

Clough's approach would succeed in any era! His teams pressed, kept possession and tried to play in the oppositions half. His team's were well organised and players strengths played to. Leicester are showing the way a Brian Clough team would play, but I guess you are just trying to be controversial.

I agree with your last 2 lines but you do not have to be young to be disillusioned with today's football and I do not just mean Derby County. In some of our most disastrous seasons I never missed a game and always looked forward to the next one.
A defeat used to affect me all week but now it does not bother me too much. Too many false dawns I suppose plus success is only fleeting and as you get older you begin to realise that there are other things to do in life.

I saw my first game in 1967 and my first Derby game in 1969. After many seasons with a season ticket It took me 3 years under Nigel to come to the decision not to renew but I have never once regretted it. The only thing I miss is the people I used to travel down with from Sheffield and the people who we sat near at Pride Park.
