Every pundit, commentator, player, manager and fans (except Forest) that I have heard all say to a man/woman that Leicesters achievement is the best EVER.
The comparison is about Forest winning the old div. 1 and Leicester winning the prem. not about what Forest went on to achieve later.

    Yes I agree 61.
    But they aren't the same

LFC had had a season in the top flight to steady the ship.
    Spent 5 times the money
Had two managers who progressed them

Really glad they shoved it up the big guns asses, I really am.
But a promoted team going on to win the top crown, really does take some out doing.

What forest did in the previous century of course was impressive . But please oh please don't think for one minute it compares to what Leicester have just acheived . Only a complete idiot would think otherwise . Unless maybe some forest fans think the rest of the footballing world are wrong .

    typical biased quote really,

A bigger achievment than Leicester's this season would be Burnley going on to winning the Premier League next season!

    C'mon 61, behave.

LFC had already had a season back in the top flight.
Banked a **** load of money, then spent circa £35 million on top of that seasons expenditure.
    Clough did it like this-

    England: Nottingham Forest (1977/78)
Brian Clough winning the 1971/72 English title with Derby County was a major achievement, but replicating that with Forest's "team of has-beens" – who had barely scraped promotion in 1976/77 – was massive. Clough and Peter Taylor's oddball squad finished seven points clear of European champions Liverpool – who they also beat in the League Cup final. "I am a little bit stupid and a little bit of an idealist," the manager said. "We want to entertain, fill grounds and make people happy." They did that and more.

I like the last bit. They beat the double Euro cup holders to the title as well.

BTW, in todays money, NFFC spent the equivalent of £4,5M in today's money.
Would £4.5 million win you the title?
So grow up the lot of you. I wouldn't dream of
