As I say, if true, this is very disappointing.
Or delaying tactic for someone still not available.....
My understanding is that they had identified the next manager, it is likely that contractual issues may delay until the end of may, especially if the clubs playing hard ball.
Amongst all the bollox and guesswork, is it reasonable to assume that the delay is down to complications with a current contract which in turn makes Wassall or any of the currently unemployed candidates less likely? O

Waiting for Giggs to decide if he'll stay at Manure - with Coppell as DOF ;-)

FFS gents, just Calm down and be patient. Our season only ended a week ago and the championship season itself still continues.

Maybe it would be good for our manager to be announced by now but, you have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. It is way to early to be talking about worrying signs and incompetence

I think its better to do business in private, after Newcastle saying publicly they would like McClaren wasn't a class act was it?

That is true but the club have said all along that DW would be manager until the end of the season and could be a contender. Therefore, is it not reasonable to assume that, whilst they may have targets in mind and have received CV's, the search would not be escalated until the season finished (i.e a week ago). All I'm saying is lack of a public announcement is hardly cause for claims of incompetence.

Nothing to panic over at the moment, Paul Clement was announced on the 1st June so we have a week yet.

This doesn't sound like any sort of competent management - Clement's been gone an age and the club don't yet have a short list?? I know Journalists are sometimes not the most reliable source of information but I would have thought OB would have a reasonable handle on the current position. If he's right then I do wonder what on earth is going on.
"If" this is true, it is totally incompetent. What the hell has the last 4 months been about? I sincerely hope that this is just a miscommunication.
