Thread: What is Going On?

  1. #1

    What is Going On?

    Owen Bradley has tweeted tonight:

"As I understand it the search is under-way, but it'll be a week or two yet. The club are reviewing the season, drawing up a short-list, before holding interviews etc., that's where we are."

This doesn't sound like any sort of competent management - Clement's been gone an age and the club don't yet have a short list?? I know Journalists are sometimes not the most reliable source of information but I would have thought OB would have a reasonable handle on the current position. If he's right then I do wonder what on earth is going on.

Hmmm.....possibly delaying so that everyone gets used to the idea of Wassall continuing.

Seems like the MM farce continues if true.

They have had enough time to review all options and we should already be planning our transfer targets and be getting ready for next season. Obviously not, unless of course Morris is going to be in charge of the transfer targets as previously.

As I say, if true, this is very disappointing.

My understanding is that they had identified the next manager, it is likely that contractual issues may delay until the end of may, especially if the clubs playing hard ball.

    re: What is Going On?

Our season only finished on Tuesday. Wednesday off, I'm guessing pre planned depending on the Hull result so only two days have passed when a meeting would have been possible. I'm guessing the candidates are already shortlisted and now it's the due process of interviews which can take time. IF someone was already lined up I think we would hear by the end of the week, due to the announced timescale I'm surmising no one is lined up yet.

Amongst all the bollox and guesswork, is it reasonable to assume that the delay is down to complications with a current contract which in turn makes Wassall or any of the currently unemployed candidates less likely? Odds on Rowett or Warburton just shortened?
