All well and good to have new strikers but with no supply line they're wasted. Believe Anya was used largely as an attacking left back at Watford last season so that, along with Camara's signs of life, provides some hope, but the absence of a 'tough as teak' midfield leader along with OTR's comments about players being unhappy (care to elaborate?) are concerning.

Do I understand correctly that that is that until next January and there is no possibility of any loans before then?
The players not being happy with the transfer activity within the club comes from one of our reliable sources of info, so I have no reason to doubt it.

Yes it is worrying. If this season is yet another failure I would carry out a mass clear out and start again. Those we cannot get rid of I would stick them in the stiffs. It is the only way to get rid of a poison.

As much as I thought the Americans were tight gits with the purse strings I believe the club was a far happier camp than it is now. Who is to blame for the discord within the club, who knows, but a few names spring to mind, players and non players, but this of course is just my opinion?

Not sure how you go about a 'mass clear out' without losing a huge amount of money though OTR. The other sad thing is...we haven't really signed anyone who many thought, 'what a daft signing'. Shackell, Johnson, Butterfield, Olssen, Blackman, Weimann - where most of last season's money went - these were all good, successful and well motivated players before they arrived at Derby and most have had good spells since, but why is it so hard for them to show some consistency, not least as far as attitude and appetite is concerned?

ramAnag I'm with you on this one I welcomed all those signings I thought they were all very good But when you think about Norwich snapped our fingers off to get rid of Johnson but I've not given up on him yet Weiman may come again but Ince. Russell and Blackman not for me thankyou I know there has been dressing room unrest but that's been sorted they are out of the club now and it wasn't Hendrick

Maybe the more obvious for the change of players is to unload some of those that were put on daft big and long contracts under mcclaren? You tend to get that when popular players get put out to pasture. At the time people said it would be demotivating to allow them the chance to sit back on their laurel and it "would appear" that may have happened. To get them out and being in new enthusiastic blood is a good thing. Hopefully it will be contagious and get the others going. If not I wouldn't be suprised to see more of people's safety net players gone!

From what i have heard the players are not happy with some of the transfer activity but then again most of them need to keep their gobs shut and just get on with playing to the best of their ability. Something that has been sadly lacking this season and much of the past two seasons as well.
