I can assure you that I am not in any way related to anyone at CAFC. I would also suggest that to continue to post things of an accusatory or inflammatory nature is unhelpful and potentially damaging to any future trial!!

Timmy, you have accused us twice of saying this and I have asked you what they are and would 'carefully' point out to you, that nothing we have posted on this board is not ALREADY in the public domain.

Of course comments about the academy and the priority the club gives to that instead of the first team is also in the public domain because it was said at the fans forum.

But NOBODY has said anyone at the club currently is guilty of abusing kids. Its the ex Director that has said it was discussed by the board back then and indeed raised with the Football Association. Now Timmy, do YOU think that is the most damaging comment that has been made and if so why hasn't the club or the FA come out and denied it. Or do YOU think its up to 'independent' investigators to find out and they can only use what information that is given to them by all three parties. History shows that these sorts of 'enquiries' and even public ones don't come up with anything new. eg Chilcott and all the previous ones, Hillsborough, Bloody Sunday, Phone tapping etc etc etc. All of them cost millions and years and years of delay and so what new did the public learn from them who paid for them all?

The FA and the Club will do the same. It will cost them a lot of money and it will take time and meanwhile when you say these sorts of comments may jeopardise a fair trial which is your insinuation then the abused kids as they were then don't need to wait for anything and just need to employ some Lawyers who will no doubt conduct all the necessary investigations that could well involve the Police. This isn't going to go away and Football Discussion Board comments and even those in the mainstream media won't make once ounce of difference to the outcome of any trial OR do you disagree?

YOU my friend have accused us of inflammatory and damaging comments against the club on here and so I ask again...

What are they, that is not already in the public domain?

Even Andy Woodward claims the first time he came into contact with Bennell was when he was asked to train with one of his teams on Manchester City’s pitches at Platt Lane. The whole issue is linked to numerous clubs. Certain unnamed clubs have been rumoured to have signed agreements with victims of abuse. Meaning the abused can't come forward because they have signed contracts agreeing to future silence in exchange for a pay off.

It's likely that the legal departments of other clubs have been working behind the scenes and that has equated to the current reporting.

While you're not saying anything that hasn't been put in the public domain your absolute maniacal desire to twist everything into a negative either about the academy or the club means that you present it an inflammatory way.

To me what Hamilton Smith has said was easily the most damning aspect for Crewe, but when you read it without the headlines like "Crewe knew of Bennels abuse" and look at the facts it's different. Smith went to the board as he'd been told, the board asked for evidence and no one was willing to come forward. The damning part of it is that seemingly the club acted naively and rather than initiate a full investigation at that point they just decided to put precautions in place to stop it happening again.

The way you rant on about it you'd think that the club were complicit in it and practically encouraged it.

Utter tosh! I've said NOTHING of the sort!

I'm not twisted anything, either with this case or the academy failings which will result in it being downgraded or done away with it like Vale have. Just remind me what league they are in and what gates they get? I should be congratulated for trying to save the club millions and also to put it where it always should have been...In the FIRST team, otherwise what really was the point? People claim it was all rosy in the good old days and so just remind us how much of the Ashton or Powell money was reinvested in the FIRST team? We got 27 millions didn't we? What sort of team could we have had reinvesting 50% of that? THAT is why this club failed the fans. And is still doing or haven't you noticed?

Do you see what I mean, we were talking about the current abuse scandal you've gone on a rant about the youth team......again.

I dread to think what your home life is like:

    "Cup of tea dear?"
"We'll never win a cup with a category 2 academy I'll tell you that"
    "What about a biscuit"
"I'll tell you what takes the biscuit , WHERE'S THE ASHTON MONEY GONE?"

It is important that those who were involved with the academy at the time speak out - and Dario has to say much more and be convincing. The Board members are geriatrics who should stand down irrespective of the abuse storm now shaking the Club's foundations. The Club is crying out for fresh vision and investment, but where is that coming from? Not accepting valid criticism is clearly a non-starter now.

Check out Daniel Taylor's new article.

    https://www.theguardian.com/football...-barry-bennell

Crewe under fresh scrutiny because everyone knew about him in Manchester and he was banned from one of manchesters junior league.
Crewe under scrutiny but not anyone in Manchester? How does that piece even make sense?
