I would say a country that refuses to vote in Hilary Clinton as President is very much in touch with it's core values.

You mean one that allows it's own policemen to shoot an unarmed black civilian eight times in the back?

Or one that allows it's own home grown white terrorists to commit mass murder on an industrial scale?

Similar things were occurring in the 80s when you were happy to live there. I've visited the USA three times in the last 18 months, I was there just a month ago, I saw no evidence of racism or bigotry in any form, I met no bigots or racists, just ordinary decent people getting on with their lives. Neither was there any evidence of anti-semitism in either of the big political parties, which was nice. The USA is a democracy, who they choose to govern them is their business, I respect their democratic decision and will continue to visit at every opportunity.

Anyway BT, it's as well you no longer wish to visit, because if Trump's goons get their mitts on your SM accounts, you won't be getting in anyway. If they really do adopt draconian checks on SM accounts then you really should apply for a visa, you would be turned down and you could then carry the letter of refusal like a badge of honour at Labour Party meetings and events. Like a Poppy, you could wear it with pride.

Won't hurt me a jot. The US is full of narrow minded racists who think white is bright.

A lot like the folk in the Ribble Valley, no wonder you feel comfortable over there!

I do indeed love living in the Ribble Valley and feel very comfortable here, pleasant, decent, friendly people, lovely views, nice countryside, Byrnes incredible Wine Cellar, Cowmans Sausage shop, the best pies in the world at Roy Porters in Chatburn, top class restaurants. When I wake in the morning and look across the valley to see the sun rising above Pendle, it feels good to be alive. I can't imagine you get the same feeling in a ****hole like Bolton.

Superb place is Clitheroe, no doubt about it, but it is hardly representative of how people live and are struggling in real poverty in inner city dystopian Britain.

    Boring again!
It’s amazing how many people in poverty manage to have Sky dishes and cell phones, buy drink and drugs but don’t have money for food.

I would love to see the empirical evidence that backs up that nonsense OC?

Quite right OC, the left are always moaning about the increasing use of food banks. Refuse admittance to anyone with a mobile phone contract, tattoos, facial jewelry, a Sky TV contract, or has just taken or booked a holiday abroad, because if you can afford any of those you can afford a tin of beans, and watch food bank usage fall through the floor, with no subsequent increase in deaths from malnutrition.

No doubt it isn't, but I'm not sure what your point is.
