Yep Warney needs the tools for the job. Like I said on another thread, before anymore money is spent (?) Warney needs to contact uncle colin for advice about the players he needs to stay up. He might even have somebody for us.

Worth a try, after all Mr Chiropodist says in his book that we were the best team that he played for

this is the thing I dont think Warne will just give them one game.

apart from a little change here and there I can basically see it lasting for 5 to 10 games with the team from last season.

Don't know whether this is true or not, but can you imagine Ferguson or Shankley picking a team out of sentimentality?

    Never!

Warne must have thought they'd got it in them to carry on where they left off at Wembley.
I'm afraid though the standard for this league is nothing like League 1.

You're probably right. What he had not taken into account was that two of our best "Wembley" players are no longer available to play for us, and have not been adequately replaced... yet. (There is still hope)

Maybe, but the important thing is that they were both good managers

But the point is they were brought up on a diet of good defending and they knew how important it was to have a sound defence.

We've got Warne & Barker, both forwards so no real instinct on how to train defenders.
