    Obviously it's all hypothetical but, if we didn't exist (that's the only way I can even rationalise talking about supporting someone else ), then I'm with Mick...it'd be North Shields. Me dad's from Preston so I've a soft spot for them.

    I guess if I was a true 'neutral', e.g. from abroad, then I'd pick one of the 'big' clubs although even thinking that makes me feel slightly nauseous.

    My maternal grandfather Joe Spencer played for Blackpool,Southport,and the old South Shields side that played in the old second division before moving to Gateshead,he also coached North Shields to a Northern League title.For all that my head has only ever been with the Toon,I can't imagine supporting another team even one of my grandads.
