Without betting there would be no nag racing; pointless waste of money, may as well send your stake money to Jenkins to waste on another over the hill footballer!

Been going since 1981 and Shergar. Not missed many since. My tenner will be on Anthony Van Dyck but as I've picked 1 Derby winner since then keep your money in your pocket. Any tips for tomorrow?
Well that paid for the day.

Start of the summer season for me. Derby, Ascot, Friday of the Lords Test. Sometimes Wimbledon and have been to Henley a couple of times. Love a big sporting occasion.

I was totally unaware it was Derby Day yesterday. I've been roaming the Gower for the last week so pretty much out of touch with the news.
Never mind, I doubt I would have had a punt anyway.
I used to on Saturday's when my dad was still around but never heavily. My skittle team always have an end of season do. We've been to Swindon dogs twice in the last 3 years and I came home wealthier both times. Still not tempted to enter a bookies though. Pretty sure I would lose more often than I would win. £2 on the Saturday lottery is all I do regularly. I know it's pretty much a no hoper. Missed the last 2 Saturdays which means I am 4 quid better off!
