    yes your rightLB if my memory serves me right.was it a penalty,and the ball whent through the net and it the wall and burst,it could have been against Man City I’m being told..or is it a urban myth?

    No my dad told me about it as well. He also saw Allen take two penalties in one game, one with his right foot the other with his left, and score with both. Bomber had a cracking right foot and wasn't at all bad with his left, as proven at Oldham, but i doubt he would ever take a penalty with his left foot.

    So did Cyrille, he had dynamite in both feet, but they were mostly from open play. For me the real measure is from dead ball situations.

    Anyone remember (Bobby) Cram The Wham? Saw him score a hattrick from full back for us. He could hit a ball.

    Remember him well. That hat trick was against Stoke. He was the penalty taker at that time. No finesse to his style. He just used to give the ball an almighty bladder.
