am hearing you - quick story - heard from a good friend, his old mum (80's) with poor sight....getting headaches, sees the doc, has tests...it's a bleeding pituitary gland (apoplexy to you colner)....she had treatment (not severe) and was made fine....thing was, as this was all going on - she found her sight had returned - 20 20 vision - though it went back to bad after recovery.

Just think if someone offered you a new car and you didn’t hear it! Or heard nude tart.
Have you both had a hearing test, that’s what I am like without the hearing aids. Think Boots offer free ones if the NHS can’t give you one. NHS aids are quite good, I had an in ear one that stopped working and I lost it, before my next test so they would only give me the heavy duty one, which wasn’t acceptable to me.
A lot of people don’t know I wear them till I flick them round. A few friends got them as a result. I still don’t bicycle bells!!

Here’s an online test I didn’t know existed till just now.

    Some story
Not heard of that before apparently it improves in quite a lot of treated patients.

Then all must have these flat tv's like a Samsung 55 inch etc. Remember t v's long ago, big buggers they were ,then the loudspeaker's were larger bigger. So now in these flat t v's the loudspeaker's are so small. Truth is I find it difficult to know what they are saying? Now they have these 'sound bars' depending on the quality, perhaps some improvement?

Today I went inside the bank I was wearing the mask ,the young woman at the desk was also ,between us a 'screen'. I could not hear well what she was telling me!so I almost felt so unsocial, unfriendly. I had to say many times 'excuse me ,excuse me.......'cause the times they are a changin.'

“Developed, engineered and tested inside our state-of-the-art Samsung Audio Lab in California, QLED 2020's audio experience delivers the finest in sound quality and technology.
With proven innovations such as OTS+, AVA, and Q Symphony,”

    What’s that about?

Our soundbar is great except it takes 5 seconds to switch on and has lights so dim you can’t see them. The number of times we’ve switched it off thinking we haven’t switched it on. It’s no use with our cheaper Samsung as the TV causes echos.

Why don’t they make a TV app for the high tone deaf, there’s a lot of us about?

Not been in a bank for months they are all disappearing here. Online banking and ATMs suffice for most things. Even my wife struggles with mask wearers behind a screen. You are not alone balam.
