I have loads of TV channels but if I don't like the look of a programme I don't put it on. And if I do but am fed up of it, I just turn it off.
But they usually do turn into petty squabbles, especially the political threads.

I don't think petty squabbles are the issue here, all message boards have them.

It's more when things get extreme and leave Footymad open to legal action.

I think you're missing the point somewhat..

Petty personal squabbles won't create a legal issue or require deleting.

However they are an issue on NCM, as the current Sam Osborne thread shows perfectly. These two absolute clowns (and others) just can't let it go, and it ends up becoming the most tedious tennis rally ever. They ruin the enjoyment for the folks that wish to discuss , debate and argue all things Notts.

That's why the moderator set up a designated area, so it would be easy for those who it annoyed to avoid it.

Unfortunately, only one of the clowns has tried to comply with their wishes.

The beauty of this and any forum is that you can ignore people. It’s not like anyone is stood poking us with a stick until we respond.
I think some should consider this option rather than engage in the petty arguments that plague many of of the threads we have.
It must be just as boring for those involved as it is for those of us who just think ‘here we go again’.

I have no interest in that designated thread for squabbling, I've never read a single post on it. I'm here to talk all things Notts and very very occasionally the odd O/T thread but that's a rarity.

One simple solution is to just keep on topic of the thread (Notts/football) and avoid instigating personal insults and points scoring. It can't be that hard? If it is , then head to the Luggage Thread thingy.and go crazy.

But you are one of the worst offenders for petty personal squabbling and point scoring.

Does that mean you are going to change? If so, your post is a good one which I'm sure most will agree with.

Although the obvious solution (the luggage room) was already there if it was used properly.
I am indeed EP one of the worst offenders right alongside yourself but I rarely instigate just respond and respond and respond.

As I've said before I'm not a fan of personal attacks, insults, going off topic, and OTT reactions I'd much prefer to argue about all things Notts. But if it happens more than happy to fire back as evidenced on an all too regular basis

Why isn't it being used? That's strange I thought it would be really popular with many a person on here.

That's very contradictory. A few minutes ago you said "One simple solution is to just keep on topic of the thread (Notts/football) and avoid instigating personal insults and points scoring. It can't be that hard"? Now you've just said "I'd much prefer to argue about all things Notts. But if it happens more than happy to fire back as evidenced on an all too regular basis". So which one is it?
