He shows no commitment at all in my opinion, starting this season with the stupid red card vs Everton, and he has continued to underachieve after that.
The thing is, with his cv, experience and lest not forget pay check, you’d expect so much more.
One of our worst signings of late (no that there is a shortage of them).
And, I do believe the pay they receive is enough for them ”play for this club”.
And, lest not forget, we may have different opinions. I can recall players like Burke and Austin being slated by others than me...

The bloke is the sort you don’t need when times are tough.
Like taking a blancmange into battle.
Thought he pulled out of a few challenges today ..... we need full bloodied commitment ..... this why I want Townsend back. Didn’t realise he had played 100 games for us though .... when did he join ... in the last days of Pulis? I think the injuries he’s had have had an effect .... not the player he once was .....
I have been a strong fan of Gibbo, based on watching him at the ground...seems ages ago..!
However his form has deteriorated post lockdown. Maybe the injuries have contributed, but the red card was unforgivable and cataclysmic.
I preferred him over Townsend, but now believe the latter deserves a chance.
Leicester, he caused a lot of trouble along with Grant down the left side. It depends what you look for I suppose. I like technically gifted players, and Gibbs is a typical Arsenal type player. Townsend has played well recently though and it doesn't bother me who plays there but I suppose because we have been leaking goals its all at the back that we see first. If we are playing well and winning games I prefer Gibbs because of his fluidity. Maybe we do need Townsend at the moment. I just don't know.
There was talk of interest in Danny Rose who is rusting away at Spurs. Anyone know much?
Mind you comes with some extra baggage as they say
Unfortunately, both are full backs keep getting sucked in at the moment which leaves acres out on the flanks. Teams are exploiting this now especially with our record against defending crosses.
Well, I suppose we're all entitled to an opinion. I can't quite fathom how you consider he played well.
I thought he was absolutely terrible. I said on another post he's shot. Probably as bad an individual performance from any player this season, and that's saying something.
I have no idea why an experienced international defender would do what he did for their first goal. The danger wasn't Mitrovic, O'Shea had stood him up. The danger was his man who he let go and eventually scored. I'm getting fed up of constantly conceding goals because our players are so brainless. It was fairly simple just to track his runner, the player who he was up against - instead he was ball watching.
He got caught out again 5 minutes later when they hit the post, then gave the ball away in a bad area for another chance to Fulham. He was a complete liability. As he was against Man City.
And I don't care if it was his 100th or 400th game. If he plays poorly, we are entitled to criticise him.
I would be happy for Big Sam to put anyone else at left back there instead of him v Sheff Utd. Seriously. I'd rather see Grant play left back.
