Anyone who is considering hiring him would look at the true facts. Although Ray Trew did hire a manager on the basis of a powerpoint presentation so I suppose anything is possible!

People look at so called facts differently to others, that is why managers like Sherridan who have failed in recent years still get appointed.

Interestingly people their end are saying it’s not Ardley, the man they really want is the ex stags boss Adam Murray. The next few days are going to be very interesting for sure. Maybe they want Murray with Ardley as a back up option...

Seems some would welcome Ardley and some would be horrifed by the appt, only on BFC ay? To his credit he would prob keep them in the division and build a team to challenge for promo. Trouble is it would take @ 10 seasons.

Interview question: How would you handle going into the last match of the season needing to win to stay in the league?
    Answer: Respect the point

    Sorry

Ardley is the strangest Notts manager I’ve seen in my lifetime, in terms of attitude anyway. His defensive style was awful to watch, but the strangest thing of all, he looked capable of setting us up to attack when it suited ie the Dagenham game.

I think he would do a good job with Barrow, small club with fairly low expectations, perfect for him really. I’m like you, I think he would keep them up, and potentially scrape a play off place in a season, if given 4-5 years.

If he does indeed get the job, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Should he he do a good job there, some fans will say he needed more time here, if he gets another relegation however, it would eliminate the excuses behind his relegation with us IMO.

Would be pleased for him as a nice person and deserves something new. I think his problem at Notts is we're a big fish for this level and I don't think he ever handled the expectations of having to win which made him not want to lose which in turn made him become more and more defensive and playing with set patterns without taking risks. He's more suited to a smaller club, not that I'm being big headed when I say that, I understand our position but we're expected to be at the top and that brings certain pressures that other clubs don't have.
