And its not the only time its happened either Grumpy!.
We also stayed up in a similar way under Keef cowboy Hill in about '11 or '12, when Portsmouth went into admin. Their points deduction sent them down and kept us up, and we all knew at the time that we were lucky.
But in fairness thats not our fault as a club and in both cases, Portsmouth & Wigan got what they deserved for breaking FL rules.

.......so it's Covid's fault?? Maybe it was, but it was the same for everyone else in all the leagues, and nothing to do with Derby's huge wage bill then? Who's fault was that????

There is no way on this earth that anyone sitting on this appeal can allow Derby to have their points reduced blaming Covid.

The biggest thing is how they've failed to submit their 'books' on time annually (for the past 4 years?), to prove they were playing within the acceptable level boundaries that are clearly set out for everyone. If they win this then TS might as well throw everything out of the window and join in too!

I believe all the Chairmen in the League they represent, should have a vote on what the penalty is and not some 'random' appeal board who can be got at. Take Tony Stewart, a very astute businessman who looks to play well within the confines of what is required. Now why isn't he rewarded via an extra point scoring system for conducting the affairs of RUFC like he does?

At least Tony Stewart's bank managers love him.

Yeah I remember that. You've led a charmed life, that's for sure. Plus, whilst we're at it, you didn't get a points deduction yourselves for entering Administration. Poxy twohats 😂

To be serious for a second, the ownership of BFC is an absolute basket case at the moment. Anyone who thinks they care about your club or town (I know you're not a Dingle yourself) is deluded. Charlatans pal. Charlatans!

Aww is that a compliment or an insult, saying Im not a proper dingle.
Like we discussed on here a few weeks ago, no we didn't get the points deduction for administration in 2002, it can't have been brought into the rules at that time!.
As for our owners, I think 98% of us know we can't trust them and wish they would naff off.

I know it's O/T but we've had enough about Derby on here recently. Acido, I hear that Billy Beane may be off to the NY Mets so might not have enough time to focus on Barnsley although in all seriousness I can't for the life of me see what the attraction is to the foreign investors (and that's not meant as a slight on Barnsley). There must be good reason to invest in sports franchises here in the US, Seattle Kraken NHL play their first ever game today and their ownership have shelled out over $2B to get the team up and running ($700M to the NHL for the franchise and $1.2B for the new arena where they'll play) but I wonder why a 2nd tier English football team in a remote northern town?

Yeah but we're not the only ones they have got their hands on at the moment Cam.
They (the PMG team) also own 6 other European clubs and are currently sticking their noses into the Scotch Prem as well, with Rangers being looked at.
Surely there should be a rule against this sort of thing!.

They will probably claim a force majeure…..but if that’s the case the EFL should say why didn’t they do that and claim that last season….seems dcfc want it all ends up…..making redundancies and they using money for an appeal which is not palatable..
