I would definitely be looking at that lad on loan at Mansfield from Newcastle.I think we have to up our loan signings couple of old heads that’s been and done it at a higher level.

Matty Longstaff? I still can't believe he dropped to league two.

Agree definite no re. Grigg looks like Ladapo will be gone. Not sure if Kayode will be up to championship level. So need 2 forwards in. It's up to recruitment to find them players with some experience on the way up.

I personally wouldn't touch the likes of Bannon or Morsey even if they were in our price range.

Well hopefully we will be pretty much assured of promotion nice and early so that will help with an earlier start in the transfer market compared to some other years. If we keep 12 points ahead then that’s promoted mathematically perhaps as early as 9th April - seven weeks before the playoff final near enough. And going up as clear Champions should hopefully help too. But obviously if say Wigan and Sunderland or another ‘name’ club go up they might still be seen as more attractive destinations for players.

It’s my firm belief we have to mainly recruit from division one because 1 they are in our price range ? 2 We have played all these teams this season and will have watched all of these players ! 3 Any-players from division two or none league would be a bigger gamble ?
The other two areas of recruitment are 1 abroad, 2 premier league loans or drop outs ?
That’s my problem with Kelly we don’t even know if he his any good in this league never mind the Championship.

Warne says he wants to sign Grigg for next season ? to me that’s a NO, NO ! Why ? because if we signed him that would probably be our full quota of strikers for the season. With Kelly, JJ, at least one of Freddie or Smithy we would have our four strikers ! They would not be good enough to keep us up ! We run with three of them last season and got relegated.

We really need to add another striker who has genuine pace, that’s our weakness ? and needs addressing for survival !

The second area that needs strengthening is the left side centre back, it’s so important to have a left footer there ? we saw at Plymouth how Mattock was feeding the balls down the line and looking a lot more balanced with him in there ? the only problem was when they started passing balls down the channel’s and he was woefully short of pace and had to be replaced, so yes a younger fitter version of Mattock.

The third area that needs improving is midfield, yes, we need a leader in there for example Bannon,Pritchard, Lulongo,Morsey etc, not only a leader but somebody who can score some match winners when we are under the cosh, I think Lindsay will move on and maybe one or two more ie Miller, Chieo, Icky, maybe who knows ?

I have seen some very good players this season in Division 1 including Colby Bishop, Scott Twine,Afoylan,Curtiss and the other winger for Portsmouth, two centre backs for Accrington, Nottingham and the other big lad, Greg Leigh for Morecambe at left wing back, Fossey on loan at Bolton right wing back, the two Plymouth players Hardie and the midfielder who both have pace and run at the opposition with pace ! all of these would improve the team for next season ? but how many are in out price range ?
I mentioned Greg Leigh on the players out of contract in the summer, I thought he had a good game
against the Millers, in Morcambes defeat 2-0, saying he would be worth signing.

Worst thing you can do is go on one performance playing us. Leigh not for me especially in championship.
