Freedom of speech is a thing of the past unless it's appeasement.

I do agree as freedom of speech should be respected and everyone is entitled to their view. Many are shocked at Monkey Pox being called a global emergency but 98% of those who catch it are gay males.

So the moral of the story is it’s ok to be what you are but be very careful of the entrance 😎

Well that may be so...but Robus has had a good run at free speech on the other thread....where some of the stuff he was posting was phrased in ignorance.....
Its a public forum....which means anybody can read the stuff posted here.....kids as well......Baggies Banter will have to carry a warning.....
It will end up like LiveLeaks.....in the good old days....wild, wild, wild.

History lessons at schools should be amended from the Nazi’s and atrocities of the Germans ( without forgetting this ) to the executions, murder, rape and civilian bombings conducted by the murderous Russians in 2022. It appears many in the West and Germany just want this to go away and more worried about their own cost increases!

Poor poor Germany ( richest and power house of Europe ) more worried about their Gas supply rather than the supply of heavy weapons to Ukraine! Shame on them!!

It takes a child to understand - why has Putin turned the gas taps back on? To obliterate Ukraine from the map with even more mass atrocities - all funded by gas supplies!

This evil piece of s hit needs taking out!

PS - some were more worried than Johnson drinking red wine!!! Seems ironic that a bigger cheat and corrupt w anker like Sunak is in the running for the next PM when he too trashed lock down rules!

Songs like this though at football games are shocking! There are good and bad in every colour and religion - even with every day Russians who are brain washed or too scared to speak out!

Yes Dave let go, but we let go too soon. Germany should never have been left to become the most powerful nation in Europe again after the atrocities they committed twice in a generation.
It should really have ceased to exist as a independent nation for say a hundred years. That is lenient in my view considering they wanted everyone under the jackboot for a thousand years.
Some of them were made an example of but many got away with a slap on the wrist and got good jobs. Some were recruited by the Yanks. Us and the Americans helped build the country up again while our people were still on rations.
It's all about politics mate, the west wanted Germany as a buffer state against the Soviets.
Al is right about the atrocities that Putin is carrying out, but he's no Hitler or Stalin, they exterminated millions for their own ends.
In thirty years time we will be trading with Russia again, and people will be saying let it go.
It's all politics, the politicians decide who is a friend and who is an enemy and use us as cannon fodder to fight their wars. Then they change sides and it all starts again. We learn nothing.
The woke brigade daub Churchills statue with graffiti and call him a war criminal. I am no fan of Churchill but without him these self righteous people wouldn't be here to express their views.

Personally I don't think we should let them forget, not until everyone from that time have gone anyway.
We think Russia is bad but the Germans deliberately exterminated millions of people who they deemed to be inferior to them.
Our own Bomber Boys who suffered more casualties per quota than any other service are treated as war criminals.
Do you think the Germans would have apologised for London, Coventry, Birmingham Liverpool and other cities they flattened if they had won?
People who think this country is racist should be glad that they didn't live in 1930's Germany.

    F uck em all.
The Germany of today bears no resemblance to the Germany of old. I find most Germans to be lovely people and the country's infrastructure puts ours to shame. They also have a beautiful country. These are some of the reasons I married a German 20 years ago although mostly of course it just came down to the individual. She was born in 1972 so obviously a different generation to those from the wars and unreservedly condemns the actions of the earlier generations for which she and others born since can't be held responsible. While we should never forget, we should also differentiate between the Germany of the past and today.

Many (all!?) countries/states of old committed atrocities - even maybe the jolly good Empire?

Sweden are certainly guilty if you go back long enough in history.

I am in the USA at the moment and in the bar we had a good chat with some Americans all on business - all good jobs and educated. There is some resentment that the Americans are supplying billions of dollars worth of heavy artillery to Ukraine but not because they resent doing this but the point was - what are the richest country and powerhouse of the EU doing ie Germany? Not a lot!!!! Germany have been reluctant to supply much to Ukraine and have been incredibly selfish with being worried more about their gas flow than innocent civilians being bombed!

Should all NATO countries not supply or be forced to supply a percentage of artillery based on their financials? Hungary not doing anything is a disgrace!! Failure to comply to the overall backing should result in expulsion from NATO!! Some Americans could say the EU Countries should be doing far more as the atrocities and executions are on Europe’s doorsteps!

Merkel cozied up to Putin and had an open door policy to illegal immigrants so perhaps all illegals coming through Germany ( first country ) should be made to stay there!

Germany always the first to dictate on the EU and Euro and were less inclined to help Greece etc so perhaps they should wake up and do more to help the Ukrainians!!

Selfish is a key word that springs to mind! With Germany’s past you would have thought they would be leading with the supply of artillery and compassion to those executed, raped and bombed in Ukraine!
