Agree with most alreadt mentioned. Odoffin is good at breaking play up, but then gives a stupid needless foul......goal.

What Wes was doing there only he knows...............goal.

Why have we given Carroll a free header twice and ended in 2 goals? Don't we know how to block attackers off?

Rathbone was asking the staff to go down, then went off, hope he's ok or we will struggle. No creativity in the middle and very little threat up top...........Going to be a tough few months.

Harding shouldn’t be on the pitch. Hall should have come on instead of him. Don’t think Hugill is fit. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in a typical Rotherham performance. Didn’t you just know what was going to happen.

Said to my non plussed and vaguely interested daughter at the start that not playing Hall or Wood to go up against Carroll was a worry and that proved horribly to be the case. In both cases, he needed a big experienced lad to read his basic move and at least put him off but didn't have the players to do that against him and it cost us.

But even then had the gear chance to kill them off before half time and looked the better team up to their changes. Gutted but not surprising. Think some have been over optimistic as a result of our transfer window. I think we have strengthened well and done good business but we are still always will be a huge fight to stay up. Much will depend on whether Chio can rediscover his form and whether Hall can keep fit alongside Humphreys to command the back line. Very disappointing to say the least but how much money have they spent in the likes of Carroll, Ince etc. Didn't look that big a difference on the pitch to be fair to us.

Can Kioso play central midfield? We need an alternative to Odoffin. I'd go back to 3-5-2. Hoping Leo he's fit. Fosu up front.

    Victor

    Humphreys Hall Leo

    Chieo Coventry Kioso Rathbone Bramall

    Hugill Fosu

Good point about Hall. For me if he is fit he plays, best championship level central defender at the club, why drop him after two clean sheets? I assume Kioso is injured as he is perfect for the bench, especially if you want pace down the right to cover when they put on two fast wide players. MT said after the Luton game that he was a key player for us and losing him is a huge blow, no Lindsay makes no sense either. I thought the bench was poor it lacked balance and seems that Wright is the main man as he took the armband when Ollie went off, hope we don’t fall for the must play the new lads all the time approach.

    Just on way back.
Good first half average second half.
Ogbene and Harding offered nothing when they came on. Harding shouldn’t be in the team imo.
Kelly looks a threat he needs to play more minutes Saturday.
Washington is league 1 standard I’m afraid.
Only a few minutes away from a decent point tbf.
We have to control games better away from home.
Won £3000 on Acca tonight not all bad.

After good results against Blackburn Rovers, Watford & Sheffield United, with 5 pts out of 9
then getting a point in a dross game at Blackpool.
We the faithful thought we might get 3 points tonight at Reading, a good start with Peltier's
excellent header, then Odoffin missed the chance to put the game to bed.
But we were beaten by a big centre-forward Andy Carroll, who we could not cope with, then
Odoffin the culprit giving the free kick away, for them to equalise.
Harding then comes on makes the mistake, Reading take the points.
Ogbene came on with Harding, but Ogbene not up to his best, still can not cross a ball, playing
like this he might ask Rotherham to give him another contract, with his form being sub-stanard
clubs might shy away from him.
Bad subs brought on by Matt Taylor, Kelly or Eaves should have come on before Ogbene.

    Any way onward to Saturday.

Spot on. Carroll didnt have a Sniff all game but the 2 free headers we gave him resulted in 2 goals. We should not have lost that game and prob should have won it.
Harding does do some daft things. Where is kioso surely a better right back.

Peltier, mom. Allus gonna weaken us when he came off.

Got to make these next 2 home games count now.

No good playing the blame game.
Unnecessary free kick to give away by Haks - the ball still has to be defended in the box & we didn't.
Harding mistake yes - we still have to defend the corner - we didn't.
Have a look at the winning goal - 2 yellow shirts marking AC - he pulls back a yard then powers a header towards goal.
    It's what he's good at.

ELK Andy Carroll was crap if you give a pub team C/F that amount of free room he will cause you problems. It was our poor defending not how good he was.
