Palmer has cost us three points this season with poor conceded goals at the near post. Some say the transfer sage has turned his head. Perhaps this is the case but we have Griffiths who could come in if Palmer is not 100% focused. You can’t play in a professional environment especially in thousands per week if not 100% focused with others just as good wanting an opportunity!

Most teams in the championship would be stripped of most of their squad for not giving 100%. Its asking too much of any player to keep that up. Wallace will come right and we will be singing his praises again. Sarmiento will have a couple of also rans and he will be blasted as a waste of money. Its fickle fannery at its best.

Jed Wallace had his appendix taken out, 2 days into pre season.
Could have part the play in his performances.
The international break will be of help to a lot of players.

Most supporters ask 100% effort which is different from playing 100% well. Wallace has been crap since the season started and there was a sigh of relief when he was subbed Saturday. On the other hand Sarmiento has been class so should start! Same with Pieters he’s been poor and we have cover in that area.

If you are not 100% focused in a professional role due to personal issues then step aside. There is cover and anyone would want those with problems to take time out with family!

It’s unacceptable if a player is poor for anyone to use personal issues as an excuse for poor play! Again there is cover and family time.

Even a professional buyer making stock calculations of thousands/millions would be offered compassionate leave if they had personal issues. There would no sympathy or feeling sorry though due to a lack of focus if they lost their business thousands/millions!

Possibly Lloyd but if that’s the case he should be on the bench. Sarmiento did more in 20 minutes than Wallace in the whole game on Saturday so must start the next match! Carlos needs to be more ruthless and play those on form!!

I’m not disagreeing with you to be honest. Yes for any business model you want people giving their best, effort wise even if performance wise it’s a bit off. I think Corberan is a bit between a rock and a hard place. Pieters is definitely a good choice to solidify the defence and maybe Corberan thinks his replacement wasn’t the best choice. Pieters may have even wanted to play but clearly is distressed over his personal life situation. I do honestly think Wallace will reach his former levels though. It’s all about choices and like most managers when they make a great choice that works it’s great, and when things go wrong we all wonder what he was playing at. We obviously are lacking the information Corberan uses to make his choices each week.

Good response. Saramiento though does deserve a start now and never judge a player on one game. Wallace has been poor from the start of this season.

Credit where credit is due - I have been critical of Phillips but he’s been since the start of the season one of our best players!

Do have a problem though with CC weakening the team with the wrong subs which costs us.

Good to see Phillips doing well. I think Carlos is a good man manager.

Well I thought Phillips was finished so I was wrong! CC needs to manage his games though.

Worrying for me that Okay does not look great as really rated him but seems to have lost his zip!
