Best wishes to her and maybe understandable that Eric hadn’t been at his best so far this season.

Hi ,Eric came on as sub on Saturday after the same sickness that kept Ajay out .
I think he missed a lot of pre season due to personal matters ,which are now public.

Awful news to contend with, especially at such a young age . Best wishes to them both.

And this is why I hold back and don’t make assumptions or call players out. You never know what they or they’re loved ones are going through.

It is so easy to put football ahead of anything else. If we were actually in the workplace with Eric we might have had an insight into his situation but we are not. Sometime, it is best to accept footballers, no matter what they are paid, are human and therefore, no different from us with regard to emotions and life’s crap.

I sincerely hope all works out for the best for Nermina.

Such sad news, but also says a lot he is still playing and contributing. If it was me my mind would not be on football. Fans sometimes forget that footballers are human beings who go through these turbulent times at home. Wishing his wife a full and speedy recovery.

I remember reading also about Wallace's kid being rushed to hospital over the summer, he is getting some pelters right now from our fans. But when I look at him and Pieters, they seem like characters who don't hide and front up, even when things aren't going well. Exactly the type of personality trait you'd want to be in a dressing room with.

I hope everything works out for the best, football is certainly not important where your families health is concerned.

Footballers are human and it’s awful about Pieters wife. If this was a normal caring work environment many companies would offer compassionate leave. Football teams should have strength in depth so if a player is going through emotional turmoil another player should come in. Footballers are paid what most people dream about so unless they are 100% focused they should have a rest. You can’t put a players off form down to what’s going on in their personal life as they either are 100% focused or they should step aside. We have players as good if not better than Wallace or Pieters so a rest with their families could be fantastic for themselves and those itching to come in.

I remember working for a large purchasing company and had a personal issue and the company said unless I was 100% focused it would be better to take time out! One mistake if I had not been focused could have cost the business many thousands.

You can’t say a mistake with a footballer or off form is to do with a personal issue as the manager should not select them. Everyone would wish any player the very best if there are personal issues but best in a professional environment to take time out!
