I don't have a problem with Wrexham at all. They've been through the same drudgery and fight(s) for survival as us, and like us they seem to have finally found owners who can take the club forward and are highly likely to leave it in a better state than they found it.

Is it a media circus? Of course it is. Their owners operate in the media world and are effectively seeking to create a self-funding 'fairytale story'. Notts County provided (and are still providing) the rivalry required to make that story as dramatic and watchable as possible.

I'm sure that as Wrexham's owners learned for themselves how difficult it is to run a football club even with abundant resources, they developed an immense appreciation of what the Reedtz brothers and Jason Turner were achieving with far fewer resources. When Ryan Reynolds wished us well in the play-offs and congratulated us on our Wembley win, yes of course it was a message designed for public consumption, but I also believe he genuinely meant it.

As for arrogance, I agree it doesn't come from the owners but I'm sure there will be whiffs of it within the Wrexham organisation because some players/people are like that - especially the hangers on. I remember some very arrogant remarks being made by some Notts County bods when they thought the Munto thing was real, so we shouldn't be casting the first stone.

Nobody has benefited more than us from the reflected glory and attention that has come from Wrexham's 'story' and long may it continue.

As it would be for Notts too, tbf.

They’ve also had their new stand delayed and it’s stated there’s now no start date.
It’s something to do with the council and the funding too for it.
What I find amazing is even with all this revenue coming in it’s the taxpayer forking out for their new stand, just doesn’t sit right with me.

Seems it's unlikely to have a 3rd series as no plans for filming it yet and surely they'd want the start of the new season back in the football league?? I read somewhere a while back that the production company were in financial trouble.

Not watched any of it as not a big TV watcher. To be fair I'd never heard of either of them prior to them buying Wrexham

I have no problem with Wrexham, in comparison with some of the murdering scum who have taken over our football clubs R and R are a breath of fresh air. Having said that, I don’t like Parkinson, not keen on Mullin, and their style is agricultural.

After Mansfield our game against them is still the biggest of the season for me.

That's pretty much my position too. It's the second biggest game of the season after what happened last season. Their owners seem like nice guys. Parkinson seems like a bit of a dinosaur compared to LW, and I get the feeling they are successful in spite of him, not because of him.

Mullin actually surprised me though. I just assumed from the way he plays that he's unlikeable, but he actually comes across as quite a nice guy in interviews, and he was very gracious towards Macca in one of the post-match interviews. Let's be honest, he's a fantastic player at this level, and we'd adore him if he played for us. Reminds me of Lee Hughes in that respect - loved by his fans, hated by everyone else, and can win a game on his own. Still a diving ******* though

I've been a fan of Ryan Reynolds for years and while he's definitely a savvy businessman, I have not been at all surprised by how diplomatically he's gone about the whole thing. Don't know the other guy at all I'm sure he's nice.

My main reason for liking Wrexham though is that their legit, long-term fans have also been lovely. I've seen a kind word from them towards Notts on numerous unconnected occasions, and I feel like they know exactly what we've been through (and vice versa).

And I don't really find the imports brought in by the documentary that annoying.

I don't find their success or funding irritating at all. Mind you, it's easy to say that when we have success and funding... perhaps if we were struggling through another hardyish era I'd be more bitter...
