I really enjoyed the first season, getting to see how a pair of celeb owners integrated into a community, a glimpse of how a club is run and how Parkinson man managed was intriguing to say the least. Similar to how watching the Man City documentary with Pep gave such a passionate insight into a to club, this was the insight into a lower club.

Watching both Rob & Ryan become emotionally invested shows they aren't just in for a quick PR stunt.

However it got old real quick and now they are just another football club with some money behind them, I'll watch what they put out regarding the passing of our Jason as I expect it to be a fitting tribute but that's it.

It isn't out here until November. Was tempted to "borrow" it from elsewhere - if people here are saying they enjoyed it I will.

It was good until they started intimating that every team in the league wants to beat them because of the money / fame / kudos of beating Wrexham - For me, it was about getting out of the league and I don’t see Wrexham as some scalp or trophy for the mantelpiece - I know it makes good tv, but Notts were not in that bracket - As an aside, great episode on autism and good to see the human side of those who have to suffer Neanderthals throwing bottles at them doing their job..

I disagree. Imagine being a footballer for a 'normal' lower-league club and the team you are up against has their own TV show, celebrity mates, endless PR, and a global army of armchair supporters. You'd absolutely want to give them a pasting. I'd imagine most opposition fans would enjoy beating Wrexham more than they would other clubs too.

I haven't watched any of the documentary, and I have no plans to. But to be fair to their owners, they've always been very respectful and complimentary towards our club, Jason Turner, and Luke Williams, so fair play to them for that.

I agree most would, but don’t think that was the motivation for Notts - I have no issue with Wrexham and wish them success, but don’t see Notts in the same bracket..

True. Our desire to beat them was because there was only one auto promotion place and we were going head to head for it.

But I genuinely think the whole 'Wrexham story' is a motivating factor for most clubs that play against them, including us to an extent. I think the level of publicity they get and all the American sports fans who have jumped on the bandwagon just gets people riled. Even bigger clubs - look at Sheffield United in the FA Cup last season.

I think the level of publicity they get and all the American sports fans who have jumped on the bandwagon just gets people riled. Even bigger clubs - look at Sheffield United in the FA Cup last season.

Definitely - To be fair, I do think they are trying to temper this and the life stories running in parallel, should put everything in context - Like I said earlier, the autism piece was pretty humbling and certainly puts things into perspective..

I think with Wrexham, their owners are actually nice and classy, it's unfortunately the rest that are annoying. Their US fans are embarrassing, the fact they actually only had gates of 2-3000 before the takeover and now the bandwagon is there they think they're a big club also doesn't go down well.

Look at Lincoln, they thought they were massive but after a tough couple of years in league one, the attendances are starting to draw down to more natural numbers, I suspect this will be the case for Wrexham also.

I did have to laugh when one of their blogs/twitter lot put a tweet out saying they'd reached out to the "league offices" about the Armstrong transfer but got no reply. The EFL aren't going to comment to you, you're not a big fish in a small pond, you'll get a boilerplate response at best chaps. It's the arrogance that people can't stand, an arrogance their owners don't seem to have but below them do, it's why Sheffield United were shouting about it, Wrexham were thinking about playing Spurs before they'd got by Sheffield United first, that kind of arrogance gets people's backs up and it will bite them eventually

There's definitely some truth in that, but I also think that fans tend to project what they think about about a club onto that club's fans. Mansfield fans, for example, are convinced we're all arrogant and are always banging on about how massive we are, but I don't think most Notts fans see themselves as arrogant.

Some of Wrexham's fans and players have been a bit show-off-y for sure, but from the fans' side, they've had to endure years of desperation, so it's only understandable that you get this explosion of "Look at us, we're the best" sort of behaviour. I'd imagine we were pretty insufferable during that Munto season, before it all went wrong.

But I agree, the American fans are an embarrassment. If the shoe were on the other foot, I'd honestly struggle to share this message board with a bunch of yanks who have never been to a football match in the UK before but suddenly think they understood what it means to be a Notts fan.
