We could give Boro only 1200 tickets and sell the rest of the south end to home fans.
The problem with that is we’ve tried it in the past and we sell just a few hundred more and income is lost

A sell out. But gaps everywhere from season ticket holders who can't be bothered or are under orders from the missus.

All thats left are odd seats scattered around the stadium according to my neighbours. How often are there similar instances around the region ? Could be considerable lost income.
Can't agree more! I don't get to many games but each time I try for tickets, it's almost impossible to get tickets together with my siblings, then when you get to the game there are plenty of empty seats. Very annoying!

You book random seats, whatever's left, and walk round until you see whatever you want. There are always seats available together.

Except not sure the office will sell an unaccompanied child's ticket

I’ll enjoy me beer and game while you moan about public transport workers also wanting to go the game.

Or maybe working. It’s not a gimme day off anymore due to the influx.

Pointing out a fact isn't moaning.

Explain how the 'influx' (of what) has made it not a gimme day off. It wasn't a gimme day off for transportation workers 50 years ago, less so than today apparently as there was bus service in those days.

Who served you that beer or organised full fixture lists or provided the security, emergency services, taxis, catering, utilities, cleaned up after, played football or sold 50/50s when it was a gimme day off?

I know Mr Meadows was a busy bloke but …..
