Been ongoing for several months Pass. Nearing its end.

Parekh said at the last Fan Meeting that they are expecting the Final Report/ Findings around late March/ April 2024.

Not likely to result in a points deduction but could well be a financial punishment.

I have responded about JAQ because she was the subject of your final paragraph in the preceding post---as simple as that.

Patrick sold the club to a Consortium. Conway, who held less than 7% of the shares became the active Co Chairman because he was the representative of The Investor Group, who held 20% of the shares of the Consortium
The more interesting read will be the EFL Findings about who really controlled the club compared to what was reported to the EFL.
    Not my understanding of it.
Conway to my knowledge didn’t become co-chair BECAUSE of the Investor Group.
Conway became co-chair because the major shareholder Chien Lee wanted him there to takeover the lead role at the club.
Lee and Conway were business partners before the Barnsley takeover.
The investor group will have followed advice from the Chair at that time - Chien Lee.

And from that there was a contract put together that enabled Conway to be in charge for 4 years.

When that contract expired - and the Crynes, Neerav and JAQ had witnessed at first hand how Lee and Conway operated - they pooled their resources to get Lee and Conway out of the club.
It wouldn’t shock me to hear that the clubs approach to the EFL is another lever in achieving that.

We should be thanking JAQ to the high heavens for doing that.
So please get off her case.

On top of this - JAQ brings a total breath of fresh air to the usual stale fuddy duddy old fashioned cobweb covered proceedings of a football club.
She brings with her a positive attitude (which some in Barnsley just can’t handle) and with that a multitude of new ideas.
She is EXACTLY what Barnsley Football Club needed.

I have no personal vendetta with the current owners as individuals or a group but the thing that puzzles me is why are they here in the first place ? they have no connection with the town , the club , the area or the culture of our proud town coupled with the fact that they have absolutely no idea how to run a football club , the only conclusion I have got and have had from day one is to make money , they are investors they are not football people and are certainly not fans of our club , I welcome the day when they eventually move on & hopefully someone with the best interests of our club & our community take the reins .

Agree with that. Tha just can't hide from the fact that some of the consortium invested in the club to make what they thought would be easy money. They had no interest in Barnsley before and when they finally leave, they'll have no interest in Barnsley either.

Where are your sources for this information Nudge ?

Are you denying that Conway set up a Special Aquisition Company in the USA to pitch to the New York finance market about profits that could be made from undervalued European soccer clubs and by player trading ? How else do you think four New York Hedge Funds together developed a sudden interest in Barnsley Football Club. They gave Conway four years to make the promised profits.

Which company were Lee and Conway "business partners" in?
Lee came from a budget hotel business chain based in China.
Conway was in partnership with Grace Hung running the Pacific Media Group.

Lee and Parekh were business people attracted by the European project Conway and was pitching to the Investor Group and they grouped in a Consortium to buy the 80% of Barnsley FC Cryne put on offer. Lee was the major shareholder so was one Co-Chairman. Conway and the Investor Group were the next biggest shareholder and Conway became the other Co Chairman.

The EFL Findings will soon show which version is correct.

Who told thi that ??? 😂
Was he a Wednesday fan ?

I haven’t a clue about the shares issues - but with all accounts there seems to have been quite a bit going in - and not a penny has been taken out.

So where did you see that about ‘easy money’?

There's no point in discussing anything with you Nudger. We're talking on two different levels. You can't engage in any kind of serious conversation. I notice that you keep shtum on threads that you feel out of your depth on like the man's man thread for instance.
