Well I like him and I hope he wins the election and does all the things he says he will.

I think what Trump stands for is sticking two fingers up to the establishment, which appeals to a lot of people. Unfortunately, the more the democrats try to push trump out of the way, the more a lot of people interpret that as just the same old establishment trying to silence anyone who rocks the boat.

The best things the dems could do would be to ignore Trump and let him implode on his own rhetoric but they keep getting sucked into situations that make the dems look even more vindictive and petty than Trump (if that is possible). So they should never have tried to impeach him and they should never have tried to prosecute him.

No matter how justified the prosecutions and impeachments might be, they just serve to confirm Trump's narrative that the establishment is out to get him for purely political motives and that just increases his popularity.

And running Biden against Trump is also a huge mistake because Biden is clearly too old and senile to do the job properly and sends the message that the establishment would prefer anyone to Trump as long as that person preserves the status quo. If the democrats lose the next election, they will, of course, blame Trump but they should really blame themselves. Without the democrats, there would be no Trump.

So true Calgary! I go to the States a lot and many love him as like you say - he sticks two fingers up to the establishment. I bet his support will be even stronger after this guilty verdict.

Many Americans do NOT like so many illegals coming into the country and Trump is their best hope in stopping this in their eyes! Can you blame them? The situation in the U.K. is getting worse but nobody has the bottle to sort it!

Whilst I dislike Trump - I get why many side with him. Even on the NATO subject - Trumps attitude is unless all NATO countries contribute fairly and the same percentage of GDP then the USA won’t provide a dime!! He has a point on this too!
