I believe that Trump was almost certainly guilty but to be convicted on the testimony of a self confessed liar and a woman fortune hunter is somewhat unfortunate, to say the least. Regardless of Trumps guilt, or otherwise, there seems to be a very large amount of political motivation about his trial. The US justice system has done itself no favours with all this.

Please about the result but I believe this is not the end of the matter.
I can see this passing further up the chain ending at the supreme court where before he reluctantly left office Trump placed his own loyal supporters.
Once elected members of the supreme court are there for life.
Maybe we will see the first ever dictator of the USA where he can join his other dictator friends he regularly praises.
