Are Dundee charging for the season ticket card, surely the book we have been giving for years would cost more to produce that a plastic card, yet we were never charged for the book
Once again the season ticket holder, the most faithful and loyal of all our fan base, is being penalised by the club. £5 for a card the like of which no other organisation ever charges for is scandalous. I have a wallet full of cards from banks, clubs and other organisations and have never been asked to pay for any of them.
This is a massive own goal by the club and is a completely unjustified tax on loyalty.
In my opinion of course
Did you read and properly understand my post? Or did you just pick out the bit you wanted then search the Earth to find an exception that you could try to be a smart erse with? Are you related to Islay?
To reiterate for the sake of the illiterate 'I (that's me) have a wallet full of cards from banks, clubs and other organisations and have never been asked to pay for any of them'.
I live in Dundee so why would I need an Oyster Card? When I visit London I use my bank card to swipe onto and off of the transport system and the fare is then deducted automatically - my bank gave me that card free.
yes I read your post, and did not need to search the earth for info.
Im not related to Islay.
"I live in Dundee so why would I need an Oyster Card?" Cant answer that one I dont have enough info, and as I have previously posted on dee mad I tend to stick to the truth and not just make it up.
I gave you all the info you need - I live in Dundee, why would I need a £7 Oyster Card given that I can pay direct via a free bank card?
One piece of truth you struggle with is the naming of one United player from last season that would've got a game in Dundee's team of last season. Truth is of course, not a single one.
Tbh I more or less agree with all of your post but for the sake of argument, before, all season tickets were the same therefore no need for any price differential. Now there are two versions available, the app version presumably cheaper than the card based one. I wonder how it would have been received if the card based price was the base figure put out at the outset and a £5 reduction was made available to all those who chose not to go card based and accepted the phone based option. Also the new ticketing system is outsourced to a specialist firm. Maybe they charge the club for every card. The same company are involved at the Dump; wonder if they have the same price differential?
In saying that I do think it's counter productive.
What a cheek suggesting that I might be related to a DAB.
On the subject of the £5 charge for a card for a season ticket holder.
It does not affect me.
However I was in the ticket office purchasing my ticket for the St Mirren match at the end of last season.
The person in front of me was purchasing their season ticket for the 2024-25 season and asked if there would be a card alternative to having the season ticket lodged on their phone.
Joe in the ticket office said that there would a card alternative for people using their season ticket next season but there might be a small charge for using a card.
In my opinion a £5 charge for a season ticket holder to enter Dens Park by card instead of using their phone is not the end of the world.
