Was in (very) rural Texas many years ago and went into a Diner for something to eat. Every male, almost, had a handgun and some openly placed the gun on the table in front of them when sitting down. The local sheriff turned up for a coffee and did the very same thing. I do think Texas is a state apart from the rest when it comes to guns though.

Not really thinking about carrying more for home defence. Signs that say if you break into my house I'll not be calling the police but I might call you an ambulance seem reasonable to me

It seems to be almost acceptable to attack right wing politicians nowadays, the banner at Parkhead about Douglas Ross no matter what you think about him or his politics was completely unacceptable and I said the same about the attacks on Farage. The banners at certain grounds when Thatcher died were in poor taste no matter what you thought about her, it just doesn't seem to be accepted when it's the other way round.

    Bang on.

Attacking any politician is poor form. Disagree with them for sure but the way they are abused now is a sad indictment on society.

Too many dafties think its ok although most are doing it just to fit in.

The Dundee Football Club Andrew De Vries Player of the Year Trophy was donated as a result of life long Dundee FC supporter Andrew De Vries being shot dead by a householder in Texas in 1994. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...r-1398645.html
