Argue? I could start an argument in my own head never mind a phone box but even I'd be hard pressed not to agree with this.

The best team won the tournament though 123.

There’s a justice in that that feels right.

Apart from the Dutch match we stunk, we were an embarrassment.

3-4-3 works against the Dutch so he goes to a back 4 against Spain.

He needs to go, I’d rather see us die trying that this boring, p I s s poor stuff we’re serving up.

I had 2 wishes at the start both very achievable.

    1. We win

    2. We play with style.

    We failed on both

We play far too deep for starters.

Rice for example, Van Der Vart is right, he accepts a pass of his central defender’s toes and then plays it back to them or goes square with it.

What is the f kin point!?

Souness was right a year ago about Rice, he pointed out that he never wants the ball on the half turn like any top players would want, he usually has his back to the opposition.

We need more players like Mainoo who are not fearful of accepting in any circumstances and who are looking to get in the front foot.

Ferdinand made a point, we only start trying to play when we’ve gone a goal down. It’s a shame, we didn’t use the early games to press teams, and create state our attacking intent to send a message to other teams. Instead, other teams saw how woeful we were and acted on this. This is all down to Southgate, he’s one tournament gone too far.
Hey at least we have the highest shot to goal conversion percentage.
Klopp would be my choice. But I fear, we’ve had our chance. Spain will have gained a lot from their win and will want the next WC, can this current team build on be for the next 2 tournaments? Not sure.

Southgate is tactically very poor, there's very little craft in that starting 11 and it becomes difficult against a high quality pressing side. Need to move the ball quicker and with pace upfront, I was amazed how much England stood off Spain.

Any manager who can’t see that Mainoo needed to start from the first match and that Cole Palmer is a certain starter is not fit to manage at any level.

    We also need Kane’s replacement.

Sure he’ll go on knocking in penalties and getting a couple against Andorra and Luxembourg but he’s not the answer now, if he can’t accept a place on the bench he should retire.

God knows what we do with Rice though.

Before the start of the tournament lots of people including many of the so called top pundits said we wouldn't bring it home because the defence wasn't good enough, Southgate a little like Carlos did here devised a formation that helped protect the back four but has a negative effect at the other end of the pitch, Southgates biggest mistake IMO was he continued to pick on paper our best players rather than the players that suited the system, either Bellingham or Fodan should have been sacrificed and Cole Palmer should certainly have got more playing time, Kane was clearly struggling but i'm not sure Watkins or Toney are the long term answers to start games and if as expected Southgate does go i don't have a clue who would take over as IMO again it must be an Englishman as non of the top managers would want the job.
