Surely though Animal from a domestic point of view and harmony within Animal towers a result favouring Mrs A is the best possible outcome !

Enjoyed the first half - but not the second Haha !

A competition to play some young lads and a couple or so senior squad members who for whatever reason need game time.

As for Animal same as I say to my kids NMP

I'm not with this "it's a nothing competition/ game".

My old school view is that if you are in a competition/ game you try to win it.

It is disrespectful to charge fans £10 to get pissed on because of no roof cover and then treat it like a friendly pre-season game.

I enjoyed the day at Wembley in the equivalent JPT Final against Oxford. flat caps and all.

My general opinion of game--
First half A little more experienced Barnsley took advantage of poor defence for first goal, fairly even
Second half.. More Barnsley kids on, second best to Man U kids (as you would expect)

I suspect the ESL was open rather than the Ponty was to have a crowd in camera shot and the fact the corporate boxes were being used (nice and dry in there) all in the same part of the ground.

1st Half we never looked like losing.
2nd Half we never looked like winning.

Chance for some of the coming back from injury - youngsters - and fringe players to get a run out.
Some impressed - some didn’t.
As DC said after the game - we had one or two passengers playing.

Even tho it was a nowt type of a game - I was very disappointed with the outcome.
Yer can bet yer bottom dollar some Man U supporters will be claiming their kids beat Barnsley’s 1st Team.

I though it was a guilt edge chance for two players who are on the fringe of the 1st ream in Marsh and Lopata and both blew it , Marsh as much as we all want him to do well has never progressed since his lengthy injury and pastures new might be to his benefit ,whilst Lopata shows to me why his career went from Sheff u to non league and clearly is struggling , he is very slow and to be honest looks way off it, perhaps moving him on or a loan to a lower league club might help him but I do not see him having any real future with us , as for the match it reminded me of last saturday at Lincoln where we did well in the first half and then went down hill after the substitutions , the defending deteriorated and we became less of a force going forward, a poor watch but one thing it did was to show Mr Clarke that some of the more senior players are clearly not up to it .

Well I committed the cardinal sin and started taking the pyss in the second half with us 2-0 up .

I wasn't laughing so much at the end .

Pyss poor to lose 3 goals in 5 minutes no matter who is in the team and what competition .

Got bleedin drenched too in the first half .

Not a good night and I won't be in a hurry to visit Oakwell anytime soon either .

This is a poor cup competition now, a waste of time really.
The club owners don't care about it, because we don't play the first team players anymore, not like we used to do!.
