I'm sorry to hear the both of you are finding it tough right now .

I haven't a magic wand or a solution to what you both are going through but what I will say is that you will both eventually move on from this and you will find happiness once again .

Stick in there guys because the happiest days of your life are yet to come .

All the best to you both .
Cheers for the kind and encouraging words mate.

Things aren't easy but rock bottom was hit this Spring. It's been an awful year has 2024 starting wi mi dad's passing. However, getting a new job recently and accepting the situation-that I'm surplus to requirements (in her eyes)- means the only way is up. It's tough with mi kids involved which is the most heartbreaking thing without a doubt. I really feel for them.

Life throws up unfathomable situations. I've always been a believer in talking, trying to
understand and ironing things out but there's no reasoning or understanding going on dealing with a woman that's most likely going through an early menopause.

Ennyrooard, A blowks day art at Blacky beckons this Setdy and it's one that's been long overdue. It's one ground that I've never yet been to is Bloomfield Rd believe it or not but the match will most probably be the lowlight of the day on current form! Am not bloody gerrin one o them 'Kiss me Quick' hats either despite being a single man again

Cheers mate. Hardest thing for me is only seeing little un' once a fortnight and not feeling like a proper Dad anymore. That and in spite of everything trying to put a brave face on for him. She's moved on since and split since. I'm still where I was in May 2023. I'm more resilient though. Like a drink but never drink when I have George.

Yes yer right - once again retaliated badly to the consistent drip drip drip - emanating from a huge drip.

As said - you live and learn.

I suppose we all paint a mental picture of the character of other posters and what they look like.
    I know I do.
You won’t see me engaging with the drip drip drip ever again.

True mate. Its like you say- not feeling like a proper Dad. That has been my biggest undoing mentally. Getting on with things seems an unenviable task when things come on top. All we can do is survive mate and be strong. As I say, sometimes life situations are unfathomable.

Yep - I’ve often laughed to myself regarding this topic.
I knew it had to happen at one point.

    I’ll start.
Animal - rotund - dark but thining greying hair - 5’9” - moustache - miserable serious looking - wears reasonable clothes to look smart.

Passy - thin - 5’11” - over active - poorly dressed - trainers - betting shop - smokes - 45 ish - lives in a small terrace - has brothers - generally scrapes through life - smiley person - likes to get into boozers.

SB - lives in an apartment near Huddersfield - lives in a converted mill - nice apartment containing works of art - quite wealthy - loves music - smallish fella - quite camp - divorced and lives on his own - talks quite posh - listens to BBC radio 3 and 4 - would wear a cravat if he thought he could get away with it.

As a miner's son brought up on a Doduth Council Estate and now living in a two up-two darn terrace in Sowerby Bridge portraying me as a modern day Poirot is slightly off the mark . Like a number of people tha thinks that working class people are incapable of stringing a sentence together.

YN--Single having had no long term relationships. Lives in hostel type flat--Sally Army ? No friends apart from Kipper Jackson. Hangs around edges of gatherings of "important" people seeking attention but being ignored--Alan Partridge style. Spends time walking rarnd tarn in an old duffle coat and worn trainers supping White Leetnin.
