That’s a very interesting and good way of looking at life and education Frank and I enjoyed reading it but I’m happy just doing my own thing now which usually is doing nowt,I’ve always admired the beauty of lyrics in songs especially witty lines that have hidden depth, lyrics where you have to investigate what the writer is implying,I wish that I could do that, write a foot tapping melodic song that hides it’s true nasty meaning,to fool the buyer into buying into your thoughts even though they don’t realise, there’s hundreds if not thousands of songs just like that if you look closely, being bitter and miserable makes me happy,I bet there’s a word for who I am?

I envy your freedom, doing nothing is ok you must be comfortable in your own skin. There was a thing about song writing many years ago, Mick Jagger i think it was who said that song writing is difficult, and that lyrics get put in not because its meant to mean owt but because the word fits the music.

Many song writers have been feted for their lyrics when the truth is that it was a fluke. On the other hand, the greats like Mitchell, King, Knopfler, etc mean what they say.

If you wrote music, what would come first, the words or the music?, for me it would be the words, its done both ways apparently.

Like all great composers im sure all it takes is to tap into the unconscious, a silent room, two hours, and something wonderful is created, like on earth as in heaven by that italian great.

I?ve heard some songwriters say that they wrote a song in 15 minutes as though it dropped out of the sky into their laps,no sitting there scratching their heads and jotting a few lines down but the full complete song comes to them fully written and all they did was copy the song, there must be something in it for several performers to use the same description of a song ?falling from the sky?

It?s all about lyrics for me Frank, good lyrics can pull me in like nothing else,I?ve cried over songs before when I?ve read the background into them, the music comes second or maybe first on a Saturday night in the pub when you are p1ssed and the pub is buzzing

Why have quotation and other marks been replaced by question marks in posts?
